Buh bah!
Rushed home to find that it's already over
ah well, hope y'all had fun. Maybe if I am lucky Zee made another video
I am going to go out for some sushi.
FYI: Hackathon as in programming (hacking, not 'cracking'), and not hacky sack, HAHA.
Nevrax should consider doing one if they haven't yet.

what was the goal? Only thing that I can think of that was like that was creating the most sophisticated chess AI w/in a certain amount of time. Lots of fun, but don't remember what the prize was. Was 4 years ago, I think.

It was interesting.
At first a small team took me on to fight marauding Cutthroat Raiders on the far side of the Fairhaven hill. Many Raiders, many fights. We weren't the only team skirmishing with them. Down near the Kipee Cave another team tried to disrupt Raider force build-up too.
Then a bright yellow messenger bird flashed across our vision and told us to meet a Muse at the Gates of Pyr, that was where it really got interesting.
All ruins were searched until the first Cutthroat army was found marching on Thesos.
Another Cutthroat army marched on Dyron from the north and was annihilated.
The third group was amassing at the first guardtower near the Zoraï Gate; it too did not return to its home.
The fourth army was found near the Hidden Kami Oasis.
Then the news reached all combattants that the Cutthroats had fortified themselves near the ruins of Farely Farm, just a bit NE of Fairhaven. Those walls were torn down!
Hominkind united was victorious.

I heard from a few sources that you guys were fighting one minute and the next they were all gone. Is this true? Or was it because somebody somewhere were successful in taking down the leader?
(did anyone kill a boss type right before the invasion was declared over?)

Not true. The fighting stopped when we killed them all. If someone saw that happen it is because they will have arrived at the end of a skirmish.

One minute ? lol, i went to bed at 1:30 BST.
It was not perfect but nice. When we tried to conquer the hill at the portal i thought we will die all there
. It was the hugest count of higher levels i ever saw ingame and we had a problem to take this hill
Let me say something about the scale of the battles. Rashan once forgot about wealth and concentrated onto glory last night. He penetrated the enemy lines deep enough that he was out of range for us healers
. Which is no small range.
For the critics: We should have started 2 hours earlier. It was all to fast for my taste. A little more story between the battles would have been a good thing.

Kind of sad that despite all of the storyline stuff they put into this, it was still a simple "kill all the bases" type thing.
I guess the totem poles at the bases weren't connected either; just a "base marker" and part of the new invasion tools
Ah well, *hopes there is stuff to be discovered in the aftermath*
