You've done well to make it this far, if you were a fan of HL1 (and no, before all you none-FPS radical goths start exploding, (HL1 not= CounterStrike)).
Single player is long and immersive, graphics are incredible when turned up, multiplayer without any mods is disappointing (too many people firing furniture with the grav gun, sometimes real weapons are fun too

)
Single-player team AI is laughable (until your PC makes it's way towards the window). Won't spoil any plot details, but you'll probably be killing your own team just to get them out of the way

Oops sorry that was a bit off topic, butt it wasn't intentional...

discussed endlessly in the feedback section. The way i see it, and totally off topic sorry, is that healers will need to heal the tanks!?! radical departure from current game mechanic of keeping ele up at all costs and pretty much ignoring tanks needs when things are tough =) i think if more ppl stopped crying about it and thought about the implications of proposed changes a little that would be a good thing. I just see it making combat more interesting.
ps was a general thought not a dig at anyone in particular

Well actually I DO heal the tank first and nukers second. In fact I just heal whoever needs it. Far as I'm concerned the tank is the most important member of the team because they can absorb a LOT more damage than I can. That's their point, their role within a team. Keep the heat off the mages.
My point is that they are going to make my job harder with this change and my team will die more often, particularly if some mobs still do massive amounts of damage. In those circumstances, I can bring my team back up with a few quick heals. After the change it will take TWICE as many, by which time we'll ALL be dead. I don't see that as improving anything.

I can't undferstand why they put all this time & effort into re-balancing the game. Some people might have a gripe about it but they are not going to leave because of it. There is such a thing as priorities and if they can't decide the priorities from reading our posts what chance do we have of getting them to achieve anything constructive.
I get the feeling that they were probably using the available manpower to the best of their ability. What now? Contracted workers to do some crash developing?
Have you considered the player base x monthly subscription and the few staff it could actually afford? Make your own conjectures. It depressed me enough already.

That is part of outposts development. Rebalancing also helps to improve pvp events. Some of my long time gone friends said that Nevrax would be mad if they released outposts without rebancing game first and i must agree. Though, not releasing outposts or almost anything else is also madness as many months has passed since.

A lot of people carrying on about how hard it is going to be to heal after changes seem to neglect the other part of the rebalancing. By that I mean the increase in damage absorbtion on armor.
Guessing/Complaining about how things are going to work before you even see them is kind of pointless, don't you think? Wait and see. If the complaints about the changes are backed up by actual in game experiences, then go nuts.

No, not really, "supernatural" doesn't mean powerful. It means something which is beyond natural or appear to break the rules of nature. To pick some real world examples; crop circles, ghosts and drowsing.

The usual model is to balance the power with lesser other abilities or delays on the spells. The classic 'Dying Earth' style memorisation of D&D. Spell points that don't replenish without rest, material components that can be hard to find, and so on.
More open and freeform games tend to balance with some sort of backlash.
Ironically, weakening the heal side may do more to bring elemental under control than the tweaking of elemental itself!

Just so you know, my previous post wasn't a reference to SoR at all, only the word 'supernatural'.
As for the balancing of magic in SoR I am on a wait and see approach, since I think they might have done some proper tweaking overall.
