Daggers in beta were advantageous cause:

1. They interrupted way more then they do now.
2. Before amps it was a good way to get additional damage in before draining your sap with ele to finish off a mob.
3. Mobs had more hp and did less damage.

Ahh the good old days eh :p

You could add a 'weight' factor to weapons as you have with armour.

EG: It takes more stamina etc to swing a big sword than a little weapon.

You create a sliding scale based on weapons carried.

Small weapon/Buckler +0
1h Weapon/Shield +25
2h Weapon/+100

So, imagine a bar running left to right that fills up according to the 'bulk' of the weapon used...

0 - Quarter stamina/HP use.
25 - Half Stamina/HP use
50 - Normal stamina/HP use.
100 - double stamina/HP use.

This way lighter weapons could use stronger mixes of attack bonuses more often, representing how wieldy they are compared with the larger, more brutish weapons.

Should encourage sword/dagger use.

rushin wrote:the thing i don't understand about dagger's is there is no advantage to using them whatsoever. I thought for a while that having 60hpm compared to a 2h 30 was a good thing, but really it's not. All it means is that over a given period of time u will eat twice the hp and stam credits compared to a 2h and do a fraction of the damage per hit... And yes against a mage u might interrupt a few casts, but doing 150dmg or so per hit compared to a mage's 1500+ isn't gonna win the fight.

why? what? etc?

well, they are nice to duel with i guess ;)

oh and don't let me put u off being a dagger fighter. I duel wield dagger + sword which at least allows me to kill things occasionaly, and i have a lot of fun with it -)

Weapons have malus like armor but there is not enough difference between weapon types

Dagger +10
1h +30
2h +50
Shield +50

EDIT: About parry/dodge table, I think those are just example values and there is just smaller effect with lower difference.
