trenker wrote:Well its nice to get answers, but, I'm afraid one of the answers was most devestating: That the raid engine is bugged. In other words, the 'massive invasions bla bla' on the box do not work. This explains why the January invasion was the last of course.

The really sad thing is that nothing on the box that drew me to the game works now. I'm not saying this to be derrisive, I'm just sad.

Glum even.

I have to aggree with this. One of the things that attracted me to the game was the band together and fight off the BIG monsters. I guess we can still do it "storm kinray castle" etc but it would be nice to defend our lands and give some sort of meaning to our kills (and our grind). To be honest i'd rather see this developed than outposts but who cares :D . The nice thing about the desert is that the tribes and dryon guards actually fight stuff e.g. kipucka at dryon etc.

Also the genderbug thingy is never going to be fixed soon or be a priority because it doesnt affect the french version of the game (dunno about the german one) so i guess there sticking two fingers up at the english again :D (mon the auld alliance).

p.s. why is there never any harvesting/foraging gm style events either?

*nods* Good good...as Spriteh said...we're not liking that idea much at all. :/

Though, going on what Basic said...if ya nerf heal (hopefully not horribly so), adjust bomb heals more accordingly to help healers (in teams where there's only 1-2 and +4-5 pthers not healing).

Hello,

just lurked over here from the german forums, and about healing getting balanced I have to say this:

1.) Do it, it will improve teamplay, because the combination of Nuker and HEaler would'nt be so extremly powerful anymore, it would give us tanks back our purpose and we could show why its important to have us around. ;)

2.) If you do it, then also do something about criticals, lets say, just don't let critical hits no longer ignore armor and it will be fine.

Thanks and bye, Sorenal

Can't agree with ya there. Yes, the combination of nuker and healer is strong, but with healing being lowered by 1/3, it would lessen teams all around. You would then need multiple tanks to divide the dmg (taunting off each other to help each other out) and recall at higher levels the mobs are either hitting close to 2k or past that with critical attacks. Using bombs wouldn't be beneficial either because they're not as strong as they should be to heal tanks getting hit over 1.5k. A better solution would be lower heal (but not by a 1/3..if they lower by a 1/3, a frickin' Celestial Guardian would barely heal over 2k) and raise bomb heals to help heal the multiple tankers.

I also disagree; it is already hard to keep a tank standing when fighting high-level mobs. It would be next to impossible with 1/3 of the healing power.

I am a forager. I spend many of my hours in the Grove of Confusion on one knee, back bent, swinging a pick to provide for my family. I wear a thin dress and am thankful for the shade cast by my forest trees. I carry a bag. In it I keep a few tickets, my healing amp, the ever more vital sap crystals that feed the amp. I add the bits of bounty Aty's allows me to reap. My dress has been blessed with focus as have my lovely jewels. I am a strong digger and a good friend to fellow homins who fall prey to the more dangerous creatures that inhabit our lands.

Lately our creatures have been forced out of their sanctuaries and now freely roam our lands. These creatures are very strong and will not just leave when we swing our picks at them. Often our warriors are deeper in the forest and they are unable to assist us so the diggers of the forest strip naked and join together armed with our amps to fight a brave battle of survival against some of the strongest beasts of our land.

It is a tremendous act of valor for the one homin who stands face front to the Zatchel. It takes two dedicated healers to keep him standing with health, mind you these "healers" are stripped foragers, warriors with no armor, no nourishing blessings on our health or sap reserves... It takes at least another healer to keep the "tank"'s sap up and the two dedicated healers up. If Jena is smiling on us we have another homin or two available to deal damage and assist in keeping healers fueled.

To cut our healing powers will, in this situation, lead to mass slaughter.

Please as your decisions are rendered remember those of us who have been overruled, those of us who did not climb out of the roots to fight other homins, but to avenge our ancestors against the kitin and to eradicate the goo that threatens our lands survival and prosperity. Please do not force us out of the sanctuary we have found here.

Thank you for your attention.

Maybe you could consider making resurrection more expensive instead of nerfing healing by such big proportion (I agree that something must be done to far too big heals). Now resurrecting is just matter of throwing bit higher heal than usually and you do not have to pay much attention to keep teammates alive as you get them up with one spell.

I hope that any rebalancing will be tested on ATS with good coordination and time.

I've read some time ago that a feature would be added to record videos in-game. There has been no news about it since then, where are you at?
Embarrassingly enough for us, it is already in-game!
....
misunderstood for a debug-only command which wouldn't be available to you.
As a reminder, here is the description
....
You will then be able to prepare travelings in advance and have smoother and get better scene overviews.
I see that the record camera path is now in game and bound to the keys mentioned, but:
  1. The actual start/stop record movie is not implemented as a key. Is there a /command for this ?
  2. There is no way to reassign the keys from the in-game keyeditor, (should probably be found under the "System" group)
  3. will you make the file format of the camerapath available ?. The camerapath is a nice feature, but without being able to edit the result it is almost of no use, and since Nevrax is obviously so tied up with "other" development, why not let the comunity develop an editor ?,
You cannot achieve the impossible without attempting the absurd.

HULLO!

If you want to nerf heal to make it harder to res for pvp purpose, do just that. NERF the amount of power it takes to RES somebody after they had fallen, but DONT NERF the normal heal power while they're still alive, even with a wee bit energy left. That way, it will be more strategic to try to keep someone up as oppose to letting them die and ressing them.

I think that would be good.

Really, increase how much healing it needs to rez a player threefold, only when it was a hit from another player that killed them.

That way it won't affect PvE at all. I think this was said before, I'm just agreeing.
