Neun,

Can I suggest that you actually choose an island. It would be a lot more fun of we all are on the same island.

Make this a recurring event (once in a while), and you can choosing a different island each time.

I would recommend choosing Tryker first because I have never been a Tryker.

Personally, this event is just about going back to basics and having some fun.
Keeping it flexable will mean that everyone is more likely to give it a go. I have a feeling alot of the players won't stay the distance and will wimp off back to the high power characters. Remember it was hard being level 1 and having no equipment. A number of our player base has never 'experienced' the joy of ql10 items, having made the jump directly to the Main Land and hitched a free ride to mid level.

The basics, being low level and having to WORK for every item in the early days is what got me hooked on the game. The learning is the exciting bit. Knowing the answer soon brings the High Level Blues and the boredom.

Be brave - do it 'properly' for just 2 days!

Meet new people, who might be old players with a new face. I really enjoy being and playing Neun, but these days his life is very easy. He knows enough to do almost everything he wants to do and if he can't do it, he knows a few people that can.

The week Neun went to sleep, I spent a week with a friend 'being self-sufficient'. We made or obtained everything ourselves. This week regenerated my love for this game and Neun awoke a little earlier than planned.

Do you have the guts to go back to basics for just 2 days?
Can you survive a rebirthing?

Come join the party - Who knows - I may have a plan for this Second Generation of Atys.

Do you want to risk missing out?

Sounds like a fun event Neun! Good luck with getting a strong turnout and having a ball.

Since this event is soon to come, I did want to mention something that hasn't been mentioned yet, which is that there may be real newbies playing at the times the alts are flooding the islands. That being said, remember, the heart of this event (as I read it) is to be in a better place to help new players, with the contest being secondary. So don't go squishing the less informed players in your quest to be ubernewb :) . Keep the help and knowledge flowing..

/me looks down and thinks, "Where'd this soapbox come from? Silly yubos."

I 100% agree with this - but I trust this community ..... we all know that in Ryzom to be truely successful, you have to help other succeed.

I'll be there to try this, I think. Sounds like good fun and I have a slot free. Will be fun trying to guess who's an actual newbie and who's old school.

Rebirth - Begins :)

Don't forget the Kapture the Kami/Karavan Event later today.

Enjoy being young again.

Remember - Don't leave the starter lands till you have been verified, if you want to go for the prizes.

And remember feedback your findings to the thread in the main post. Tell them what you think!

Most of all relax and have fun :D

*bows* and goes to make an Alt :D

They are the ones who are:
- Digging efficiently
- Wearing nice gear
- Team in groups larger then two players

Agreed, can be quite a giveaway.
hans1976 wrote:- Wearing nice gear
Or not caring about wearing it him/herself but giving it away, in turn making others look nicer :) hehe, i dont know, gear isnt a real giveaway of who is experienced imho.

MMm, i really dont see how this says anything at all about player experience.
