I have tried walking past sleeping mobs and I was caught and killed, likewise I have ran past sleeping mobs and gotten away. I dont think walk/run makes any difference, you either get lucky or you dont. By lucky Im thinking lottery win proportions, having spent 2 days and 200k death debt trying to break out of Matis.

Its extremely hard to sneak/be lucky/avoid insta spawn aggro's and make spawn points when they seem to be ring fenced with all sorts of 1 hit 1 kill aggro mobs.

Im entering my third day of no exp progress as I try to make the most of having the death debt cap. My progress so far is: The Abyss of Ichor to The Nexus spawn point and that was largely due to a guild mate's self sacrifice as he already had that spawn. One spawn point for two days of effort and no skill progression. Yes I realise its my choice!

Its interesting to note that the majority of the well travelled characters are Fyros and Zorai. Not all I accept. I wonder if placement of respawn points on regional maps has anything to do with it?

Didn't get past first base.

Swam south to resting waters, to the portal :)

So far so good !

Noticed that most of the islands in that area had LOADs of Kinchers, I am in the water so I didn't care much :P

Reached the place where the portal is, the beach which is only about 5 m wide and 30 or 40m long contained the following mobs.

15 Kinchers
11+ Zerx
12+ Cutes

And these where just the ones I could count from the water!!!!

Basically, unless the aggro mob numbers reduce with the seasons the only way to reach the portal

1. Stand on a bit of land, hit invunerablity, and run for the portal. (milli second timing required as these babies are insta kill mobs.
2. bring a group of sacraficial 'noobs' with me to land on the beach one after the other and hope that they can draw all the aggro to one end of the beach.
3. some other impractical solution!

So Tryker is truely an island!

To matis you can reach the portal and the matis, but once there you have to navigate the maze and the cutters/tobaks

I 30 attempts I reached the 'room' north of the outpost 4 times.

The closest I got to getting north from there was 3/4 of the way across! when a cutter rushed me. It was one I had past early, which was fighting a yelk. It tracked me all the way from the portal to this point.

Bounty beaches was hard to cross in the final beta, with the new increase level of aggro mobs. The first person out of/in to Tryker, must be a doctor as they will have more patients (pun) than me!

A side point

Zorai - 3 exit portals all going to the roots (wide open lands, easy to avoid aggro, some patience required)

Matis - 3 exits, one direct to Tryker (through a nasty maze), one to the roots (many say impossible, but its been done so I can't be!), one through the desert direct to Fyros (I know the desert is very nasty but again with the wide area of view it can be achived, I am sure)

Fyros - 2 exits (+1 entrance, the hidden oasis) one to the roots (Dryon) this one is quite straight forward. one to the south Theos to Matis.

Tryker - 2 exits Lagoons to Matis, as close to impossible as I think you can get. The other Bounty Beaches which has be reported as the land of aggro.

Is this how its ment to be?

I have been told that Matis is flooded with black and white armour so the root to the roots is open wide to them!

Why do the Tryker only have 2 exits?

There is a fine line between difficult to make it worth while and frustrating to the point of not trying.

If your intention was to make the Roots hard to reach, you failed!
If your intention was to make travel between lands difficult, you failed!

I an not that bothered, it not a 'toys out of the pram' issue. It doesn't stop me enjoying the game. Its just a little annoying that Tryker has been cut off!

Also, can we please have spawns on the portals.

It is sooooooo annoying that you have to travel and pass trough the portal each time you die. (This is only a nice to have, again doesn't stop gameplay, just raises frustraction)

So if you see a Tryker in another land bow to the wonders of his 'sneak-ability'

12 hours of repetitive hammering and memorizing herd boundaries and patterns got me 80% of the way through Bounty Beaches *once*. Got to the outpost 2/3 along the way a few times that day. When some of the herds had shifted the next morning, and my "camp A" was no longer totally safe, and an extra herd was intermingled with the dogs and zerx enroute to camp B, I gave up. I'm one of those weirdos that prides myself on doing things like maxing out all classes in all characters and all items etc in games. If anyone else out there that patient is working on it, it's *possible* ... 80% or more on one try ... you'd have to have an incredibly lucky run though.

Unless, of course, you happened to try at a time when the aggro/herd positions were easy. And a Zorai would probably stand a better chance since they can restart immediately (for Trykers it's an 8 minute swim before each attempt). The mobs are only level 150 though -- I may keep trying now and then, but personally I decided to wait the couple weeks it'll take before we can just fight through.

mboeing wrote:If you say Tryker outlands was that bounty beaches? If so I will concentrate my efforts there instead of trying to get through lower Matis (where I like some others got to the first outpost but from there its an area full of Cuttlers and Torbaks)

Although its quite a long shot through bounty beaches I have to admit (should try to get "Power Up" to lvl 3425 to be able to speed through it the whole way =P)
Yes Bounty Beaches, however as soon as you walkout the portal you are met with about 50 or so Cutes, Torbaks, Zerx, Kinchers, & Kipestas it really isn't worth the effort.

Before a change of monsters on the beach I could easily make it to the strong hold after usually finding safe spots throughout and watching safe spots and then timing, wasting 2 hours from night and day, I made it again to the npc guild village which seems to be safe in day but come night a train of 6 gingos happily walk through , and actually killed me lol as I sat thinking I was safe. portals about 800m from that location looked safe on radar for 250m, but then the torbaks must of been somewhere among hat 800m right? Trying again after patch wish me luck :P .

About 6 hours into my day of trying, I was getting to the NPC village about 50% of the time. That's only about halfway though -- still just as many safe points and herds to try to get used to as in that first 6 hours, but I had precious few tries on that second half, cause it meant an 8 minute swim back and a successful run through the first half for every try at the second...

The farthest I got was just SW of the fort by the Zorai portal, at the entrance of the final valley. I got aggro from the surrounding herd of cute and burned my run and 2 invincibles going for the end. I didn't make it :(
