Complete, unmitigated, petty, bodocs.

At the risk of being pointed at, who exactly are these "all of you" people you keep referring to? All I see is Raynes

I just gave everything I had away in game, I have transferred leadership of the Kult of Kami to Luquido, and I have deleted the charater Raynes (so if you want the name, go make a character). I am finished with this game.
Thanks for the memories...

raynes, please read this:
http://ryzom.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1 ... ostcount=8
if you still think it's bull**** after you have read it, please go, by all means, the fine details of a real story line happening ingame are lost on you anyways.
edit: just read the post about deleting the char, almost made me laugh...

Sounds pretty much overreacting.
Whole "event" was quite fast done with and was more of a giving out couple lines of information. Implementation was based on short play to small audience instead of el cheapo NPC or mass story telling event that would have resulted in most attandants complaining lack of action or xp.
I think that part was done well. Invitation list could have been better, I guess. Many important persons were not present or invited. This maybe partly result to that event team does not yet know all influential players from ex-Windermeer server. But I would say it quite ridiculous assume that characters that hardly play should be invited to this kind of event.
I see this more as a seed to series of events that will come. Necessary first steps that must be taken to introduce big events in realistic manner. Taking part in initial secret meeting was just a start of server wide rumour event that is open for everyone.
Spreading rumours trough players and building tensions slowly. Sounds like
massively multiplayer roleplaying to me instead of massively multiplayer single player game.
And I do not think that this was first event for small selected group. Especially regarding small events that are just building background story for a big event. Selection methods may vary. Maybe now those who met these spies or whose name was given as influential character were invited. Other selection method could have been region wide announcements for those who just happen to be present somewhere at certain time. I don't see much difference.
