But having a solid base and a month of practice will sure help you to understand the game. I also deleted a couple of characters
...
Is up to anyone. If you want powerleveling, you shoud leave the island as soon as possibile and join a guild
Agree.
To understand game mechanics and etc, more time needed, than few days on newbie island.
If player care only about lvls, firepower and etc, best solution tp to mainland instantly, join guild and hunt each day on same, well known "spots".
But players choosing 2nd option, missing many things, and sometimes whole regions.
Myself, enough long did not leave newbie island, while haven't got decent levels in all branchs, while was not defined with further tactics of play.

OMG
I left Newbie island after 2-3 hours, never missed it!
After 3 hours at mainland I hunted at KoD (sure, what were I doing there? Bawaabs looked soo cool!!) and joined the Guild that day that I am still a member of. Even got to be the highest leveled member now
Im sure this player now is at mainland..? Otherwise, you have not seen anything yet!!!

This is not true. I was there saturday (Tryker) and there where 3 ppl online. When you go to the merchants you see that even more are selling.

I was yesterday at Zora island and there were 4-8 other peeps all the time. Could be better but that is quite good for Zorai island
I made some nice choice amps with 60-65% boosts to most casting stats. Check out at heavy weapons merchant! But remember, most finest equipment is not cheap.

Personally I left N00b Island when I was at 50 in all branches. (well, exept fight, coz there are not enough stronger mobs) Took me about 1 month. Maybe 5 weeks. But having a solid base and a month of practice will sure help you to understand the game. I also deleted a couple of characters - some of them pretty advanced for a newbie (lev 39 harvesting, lev 31 craft) when I discovered that I messed the build a bit.
Ah, you can't "ruin" a character. Worst thing that can happen is a slower advance.
Upto lvl 50 in most branches at noob island and doing rerolls because of slower advance? Quite miracle if you eventually got in mainland. LOL.
But yes, everyone has his own style of playing. Idea is that you have fun playing. The goal is not important but the way there is.
