Titles tend to have widely different meanings to different companies, and even different countries (for example, british firms generally don't have presidents, they have either a Managing Director or a CEO if their life is all about titles )

I think Fyrx's curiosity may have been tweaked by the Executive part of the title - however, this may be a red herring Executive in most businesses/industries would hint at a shareholding position, however when you're talking media (film/tv/games whatever), the title Producer very often has Executive in front of it, and is only a mark of rank, not investment. Most TV shows have Exec Producers, but I'm not sure they have shares in the production companies...

My understanding of the term "executive" in this context is that it implies some level of hands-on involvement, as opposed to just investing money and letting the company run itself.

How does job of "Editorial Director" (DCC) and "Executive Producer" (Jessica) relate to each other? Or does inclusion of Jessica means that DCC leaves development of Ryzom universe to Jessica and concentrates on his CEO job?
