Factors that are never considered in things like this:

Some people
... are on holiday.
... only play for 1 or 2 hours a day.
... only play on weekdays.
... only play on weekends.
... try to find places where there is nobody around.
... this is a GLOBAL server timezones should be considered.

(If it felt empty premerge and you play at the same time, its not going to seem any fuller after the merge)

I got a tell asking if there was any hunts going on, the player said there had been nobody on all day.

I was hoping between towns (had stuff to do) I saw at least 5+ hunting parties and region chat was buzzing.

I guess everything is about point of view.

If is was specifically looking for a lvl 100 team in Hoi-cho to level my affliction, then I might be dam hard to find a team. However I have never played this game that way. On the 'quiet days' I look for a 'random person' and find out what they need to do what they want. This has ment that now I can't fit all the people I have ment into my friends list and I regularly get a 'out of the blue' tell saying want help doing something.

I find that by giving my time to others, to help them acheive their goals, has put me personally in this position.....

I can get ANYTHING I need in Atys.

So if your struggling .... ask what you can do for someone else. You never know they may even teach you a trick or two. They might take you to a place you have never been and do something that you never thought possible.

For every active player, there are many more infrequently used accounts.

The number or players:
  • on Windermeer before the merge, not nearly enough.
  • on Arispotle after the merge, plenty to keep things interesting.
  • worldwide on all servers, hopefully enough to keep Nevrax afloat until this thang gains more traction. :)

C'mon guys.... are just oppinions. There is no "ultimate truth" lol. We can't know how many we are, unless someone from the staff is telling us.
And I said 10k because imo this number of players gives a company the minimum amount of money to survive.
But I did not creted this poll in this purpose (to have an ideea about income). I was just curious, that's all.

Quality > Quantity

If you really care about how much players an MMORPG has there are many alternatives to Ryzom with a LOT more players.
