The Goo is stirring....

Re: The Goo is stirring....evil spotted
Today, as is my habit, I was wandering alone in Maiden Grove doing small task for the residents there. The Kami Ambassador to the Hamazans Of The Dead Seed is always wanting me to hurry to see what is happening in Land's End Farm. Since the farm is near the goo, I decided to try once again but as usual, I could not get past the packs of ragus and torbak that haunt the narrow passage to the farm.
After many seasons in the Grove, I've grown in skill till I fear no creature there that comes at me singly except the most fierce torbak. I've learned that I can travel safely where the herbivores are thickest. On a rainy night amoungst the herds, paying less attention than I would have elsewhere, I almost ran into a new threat. On a path south of Fowling Lake a line of foaming Gibbai (2 star red) were walking with their black heads bowed. I spotted them twice, or perhaps there were two groups. The gibbai as yet do not seem to be a thick as they were years ago in the Grove of Umbra, but these appear to be infected with the goo and far from their normal habitat.
Normally spending a day or two wandering the Grove in solitude calms me, but even after watching the sunrise from the top of the Great Boulder Tunnel I was uneasy. I could only think that the Grove, normally empty of hominin, would be a good place where evil could gather to strike at Hoi-Cho or Min-Cho. A force greater than one lone blue girl will need to deal with this threat.

Very nice post Miss Narr.
Re: The Goo is stirring....
This evening in Zora we thwarted an invasion of goo infested Gibbai. There could have been more, but me and my team thwarted their attack and drove them back. The fight was long and hard. We were lucky to sway this night the overtaking of Zora by the goo infested gibbai, but we did.
With me were Karm, Rashan, Mioette, Pinsao, Piirihoune, Seawe, and Jyudas.
We stand ready for another invasion. For surely there will be another. Be careful homins, somehting is very wrong here and we must guard our homes.

I noticed the same thing today when taking a friend to zorai and fyros. The gibbaîs moving in groups of five following some sort of patterns and strict formations. After a while I found myself face to face with a group of them figuring I would get attacked so I pulled my sword but for some reason I didnt attack right away, then to my astunishment they did not show any signs of aggression, they just walked pass me like I wasnt there.
Something tells me though that that kind of behaviour wont last forever, and when it changes I will personally give them a piece of my mind.

The groups that attacked Zora this evening were not small groups though. Something very wrong is happening and we must all be ready to defend Zorai against the impeding goo.
(ooc:the gibbai in zora weren't attacking either, but we think they may have jsut been bugged as they were definately goo'ed ones)

Re: The Goo is stirring....
no the goo sickness seems to have zombified them or put them in a half awake and alive state, they don't attack or even notice you, untill they are physically attacked. The goo has overpowered thier normal reactions..
Re: The Goo is stirring....
Yes, the goo is expanding. Saw a small heap sprouting goo in Knot of Dementia, just west of Zora.
Am hoping it wont permanently infest that area with goo.
I also would like to thank Kostika and her team for stopping the Gibbaï invasion in Zora. Great job

And thus, they should be destroyed before they spread this sickness within the cities.seawe wrote:here is a screenie of the goo gibbais filing into Zora:

Re: The Goo is stirring....
Yes they must all be destroyed and looted as quickly as possible. I'm not prepared to let these non-aggressive creatures wander around town, showing off their expensive jewelry without a care in the world. Where did they get their rings and anklets anyway? Off dead Homins I'll bet! So if you do come across any sparkling jewels or dapper, pass it on to me and I'll try and get it to any surviving family members.
