Yes, you're right Zippo

I'm not sure about your choice of MTV, but I think if Nevrax could afford more advertising, they'd do it. I remember adverts in the UK gaming press - PC Zone (bleh mainstream), Edge (for teh win! ahem...), PC Gamer (pfft, fifa-loving EA sycophants...did I say that out loud?). Big, nice double-page adverts late last year. However, I dread to think what those adverts cost Nevrax - we're talking top-flight UK gaming press.

I would imagine (guess!) that 10 seconds on the main MTV channel would be 5000 GBP or more - that would including help with producing the advert, and for that price I imagine a fairly low-key timeslot. How often the ad would air is anyone's guess - with the kind of big-hitters advertising there, you'd be up against companies paying many times the figure you have.I'm making the numbers up, but I could also be underestimating. I've seen the rates for 'local' advertising on British terrestrial channels, and it's frighteningly high - and that isn't even national coverage...
EDIT: And just imaging advertising Ryzom in 10 seconds

You'd need one of those guys on the US TV ads that reads the terms and conditions at the end, a whole paragraph in 10 seconds without breathing

1. Images from trikerland (is the most beauteful area, even i'm a fyros i have to admit that)
2. Ktins slaughtering hommins and a backround voice saing something like: "Come to defend this world"

I'm with Rogmar on that one. I love this game, but telling people it's about invasions and fights against the kitin would be very misleading.
Things look to be changing though, I wouldn't be surprised about a Gibbai or Anti-Kamis invasion. And Phaedrae's warnings for our upcoming raid on the lairs was very ominous. Gives me goose bumps
Outposts should(and probably will) be their jumping off point for another mass marketing spree. Here's hoping anyway, hehe.
