But if you reach lvl 250 in one skill, there is plenty of other skills to improve.

However, with sustained casting vs melee, it is the caster who will end up killing themselves.

In the same fight, a melee fighter can stand up longer so has an increased chance of success. A caster with a few resisted or broken spells is a sitting duck.

Caster has to kill before the mob reaches them and is wasted if an add occurs. A melee stands some chance.

Adding healer support to either class .... caster wins hands down on speed and DOT.

I think u putted many time and effort to reach lvl 250 in melee.

PS. I am not assured as is a situation now, but for me it causes not the best memories of use a melee skill, when i recollect times, when leveled melee in KoD (who dont remember - KoD was 250is zone, like Grove) in q100 heavy armor, low qlt jewels, healer without dbl missile and till lvl ~230 using q160 Sky's waving swords (later they become very rare, but no one more crafting/selling so high qlt weaps). When 0->250 in ele was faster than 150->200 in melee....

Although I get sad when people reach their big goals, because it means one less reason to stay. If you know what I mean.

There few types of high lvls players.

1st type: "Blast, blast, cu in wow/cof/dnl/etc"
One 'sitting' in HGrove 16 hours/day few weeks.
Then getting title.. and "bahh.. What to do now?... Ah. C ya ppl, there no contents"
Dont see ig many players "from first wave", who reached v. high lvls..
Some just 'evaporated', some with threads like "Farewell, i liked this game, but there no contents" (Yes, there is problem with contents, but about what kinda contents they speak, if they dont saw nothing except jugs and poison/etc animation)

2nd type: "Oh again 250.... which skill now?"
Ppl who play and enjoy .. Who dont care too much about lvls, and when hitting 250 in one tree, just swaping to other (there so many trees :-) )
And depends on thread title "My 1st 250..", Alibooma is not from 1st players type.

There is no way im leaving! I love this game. And whats more, i love melee so im one of those rare people that will continue to melee because i love it and not because i want more hitpoints to make myself an uber uber nuker.

As for what im going to do next, i will continue with some melee from time to time to gain the last powers and stanzas i need. I am also looking into starting either amp crafting or 1h lance crafting. Obviously harvesting will go hand in hand with this :/ On the magic side of things it is offensive affliction that has really stolen my heart
