Agreed with the please wait, slowmotion and ping rising to 2K+ (although it could have been higher, 2K was the highest figure I saw). This has been an oo-and-off problem for me, for that reason I suspected my ISP.

Although there's still a chance it could be down to ISP troubles, the number of people seeing the problem screams otherwise...

Can we get an idea of where the affected players are playing from, and which ISPs they use?

I'm in the UK, using Bulldog Broadband (512K)

My ping is generally sub-200 (sometimes sub-100) when playing Ryzom, but these lag spikes send that through the roof (as above 2K is highest, which is virtually disconnected in network terms - a round trip of 2 whole seconds)

Like I said all in our guild, or at least the majority have the lag at the same time. We have members from germany, NL, denmark, sweden and UK (likely forgot some countries) that are all affected. Now tell me its an user ISP problem. Maybe its an ISP problem, but then its on their side.

I am on Deutsche Telekom 1mbit dsl, 2 PC lagging at exactly the same moment. And I ran a test next to it, all other internet traffic is not affected.

Yes I know you said that, I read your post. However fighting through the patronisation, I'm trying to get a feel for the scale of the problem, and see if we have any ISP-related patterns emerging.

I see, it's definitely not an ISP problem, but if it is an ISP probem, it's on their side. .... What?

Guess what Sky is saying is ....

CSRs say Nervax have checked their servers and can't find a problem.

We have high-lighted that it effects mulitple Players (two PC+ users at identical times) with different ISPs/Countries.

Therefore the logical conclusion is:

Its either Nevrax ISP or France Telecoms provider.

As this issue doesn't appear to be effecting the States (a US locally hosted server), cas boy would we know about that fast, its a local issue between Nevrax and the European/worldwide backbone. It might just be the ISP/Telcoms companies running tests and will just magically disappear :P
