Well, I'm at it again :o) Operation: More US players!!

I for one am posting an honest review from my point of view, the first time mmorpg player. I will have you know that mmorpg rated us 7.0, and that when I looked the other day, and the user rating was 7.4 (before we did anything) there were 16 games rated ahead of us.

WoW was 8.7
EVE at 7.7
City of Heroes at 7.7
and the rest were 7.5 except for the 3 diretly ahead of us that were 7.4 also.

I am asking for you to voice your 'Honest' opinion and speak of what you think of the game in your text. My opinion differs greatly from others. But honest reviews will move our game up. Some poeple are here that are not happy, and I welcome them to voice their opinion too. I do believe our game is better than many of the others due to some reasons, and not better for other reasons.

First off - I was not dishonest in my reviews.
You may not all know me very well, but those who do know me are aware that I am *very* enthusiastic.
Especially when it comes to Ryzom.

To douph:

Other players of other games submit their reviews and opinions, why shouldn't we be allowed to share ours?
I have not lied in my reviews, just like you didn't lie in your post.
You gave your opinion, I respect that, even though I may not agree with the entire post.
Those are your views.

And to clarify - I do not want more people in the game to group with, to buy my mats, etc.
FYI - I'm usually on my own if I'm not helping someone.
I *want* for other players to be aware of this game.
I want them to know that it's available and to see what it has to offer.
If they don't even know it exists, how can they?
This is my effort and I stand by it.

I honestly believe that if more signs of life out there for SoR, our numbers will greatly increase.
This would mean, even more help, more events, more roleplaying, more things that everyone is wanting to see in the game.
It will not add more content from the devs, etc. etc.
I'm trying to find ways to improve it w/o being one of the people that turns and points the finger at the GMs/Devs.
I want to see a player movement that will help.

I'm not fully awake yet, so I apologize if this is a bit of a ramble

I tried staying away from this thread because I didn't really agree with it. The game in it's current state, in my humble opinion, isn't something to go and try to grab the masses with. You could be doing more harm than good if a large volume of people suddenly started playing it on your recomendation and then find that there isn't much meat on this stick...

The player there, Neas, is exactly the type of people you need to convince. She/he is a former player who left the game and found that another one was 10x better. The original review in that post and her follow up cover a lot of good points. Ryzom isn't perfect, no game is; but it has a lot to answer for...

Outposts are maybe something to grab the general public. Maybe.
