Can't you people either shut up or find some more constructive issues to raise. If you are really this pissed of with the game, I know the perfect solution. Take a break and check back in 2-3 month. By then you will see a bit more content.

I really doubt that your whining will make the developers any faster or change their plan. If there is a bug report it and it will be taken off. If you have any suggestions, write them ONCE and be done with it. Repeating it over and over won't help you here.
Another pointless "kill the messenger" type of reply. If the game was booming with tons of players and crowded servers, then what you say might have some merit. But as it is........

If the forums are anything to go by, and about all I trust them for is to tell us how isolated people feel in their areas, then the US server does have a problem and its not Nevrax, your GMs or anything else but yourselves. You are excessively demanding, strident, nasty and seem to expect everything to be served up on a plate FOR you rather than actively creating events and content for yourselves. This is an interactive game, not television, you get more out if you put more in. Make the effort, be social with each other, make your own events and the game will be much more for you.

grimjim, being from the state of Georgia here in my beloved US, I don't appreciate you grouping all us "yanks" into the same category as the several hard core so called "whiners". In addidition, I see several folks from Canada, Australia, UK, and other countries on the NA server so we're not all "yanks". Many of us enjoy SoR immensely, and I for one am one of those people. However to completely ignore that there aren't certain problems that need to be addressed with the game is just ignorance, but I am willing to be patient with Nevrax and see the growth and developement of this mmorpg.

It isn't just "yanks" that see things that could be done to make the game better and that would increase the server pop if they were implemented. Talk to people in game that have played it for two months plus and especially players that have followed this game since beta whether they are from North America, Australia, UK, Singapore, Japan, and you will see that there is a general consesus that "I like this game, but I'm concerned of the lack of server population and/or people leaving." I do see a lack of population on the NA server being the biggest problem right now.

What can be done to keep people and/or to bring in new blood and as well as old gamers that haven't played in a while? I don't know, but the name calling I have seen recently doesn't help. MMORPGs population are made up of a cross section of all of humanity from all the different countries and cultures not to mention all the different personalities in the individuals themselves. There are bound to be disagreements and differences of opinions. The community here at SoR compared to many other places is on a par with none, but I see it beginning to be tainted with a bitterness. It is just not the "whiners", but people resorting to battling the "whiners" by name calling instead of conducting a mature debate with them. I am not singling you out btw grimjim especially since you opened your post by answering questions directly. It was just the ending that left a sour taste of bad wine in my mouth, and the post of some other individuals in some other threads that have resulted in name calling.

I realize "yank" isn't all that offensive, but many Americans do find it offensive so I just urge everyone to take a step back and chill.

Nevrax is working to add content and fix bugs. WoW has its issues so does EQ2 even EQ and UO did. The difference between how SoR was in OB and now is night and day and for the better so in my book compared to other companies and especially since it is a new kid on the block, Nevrax is doing a good job.

Nahhh, its more like this...

You wake up Christmas morning and look under the tree to see a huge box. You open the box and it's the super deluxe lego set. On the box it shows things like a lego block with a motor in it to create mechanical creations, toy people, roof tile blocks, mirror block, and a bunch of other really cool things. Your so excited you forget the rest of your gifts and open the box right away. Upon opening it you find nothing but 10 standard blocks. In the slot where the motor block was suppose to be you find the following note:

Dear lego fan:

We are sorry we could only include regular blocks in the super deluxe set. We had intended to have all of the blocks that allow you to do special things but that was not possible. We should have those special blocks available within a year. As soon as we get those special blocks we will ship them to you. In the mean time the 10 blocks we have included should keep you entertained.

Thank you for your support,
Lego Corp

This is what really annoys me. Why is it, we are not allowed to complain / whine or anything else? Why is it, we have to comform to the "Everything is wonderful, this is the bestest game evar, and they are doing a awesome job, and the Devs have not put a foot wrong since they were born into this planet."

A couple of points on these awful, terrible whine posts.

1) You really do not have to read these posts. On average the post title tells you what's in store when you click on the link. It's not rocket science, you can choose not to read said threads.

2) You certainly do not have to waste your time in replying to these awful, disgusting threads and people, you could simply choose not to, and move on to Carebear land (read: happy threads).

3) If everyone posted how wonderful the game was in it's current state, and that there was plenty in this game to see and do which would keep even the top most players happy for years to come. Then why should the devs push out new content or tools to allow the players to create their own content (read: RP'ing)? After all, every single player is 100% happy with the game and their sure to tell all their friends how this is the 2nd coming of christ in regards to MMORPG's - so the extra subs should be flying in. (there is sarcasm in that paragraph btw).

4) As "paying" customers, we have the same level of rights on these forums as you. Your quite entitled to post your posts about this game being 100% perfect, just as anyone else is quite within their rights to post any complaints.

5) And finally, the original submitter of this thread has a valid point (to him/her and to others who play this game), and that is, is that the game appears empty. Not all the time, no, but enough of the time to warrant a post or thread here and there to complain / ask / or mention it.

Sometimes you can't be constructive regarding certain issues. How do you be constructive regarding what appears to be lack of players on the server? Yes, you could simply post asking if other people feel the same, or ask what the server population is, but sometimes you feel so frustrated by it, that you simply want to get it off your chest (see points 1 and 2 above should this occur).

I'm sorry that this post comes across somewhat aggressive, but to sit there and have a go at people who have the same rights as you do, for simply having a different point of view than you is wrong. If you don't like the posts in a thread you don't have to read them, and you certainly do not have to reply - it is your right to do so however.

Oh and whining about whiners - can you sense the irony ;)

The two topics of threads that serve no purpose:

1. I QUIT AND THE GAME SUCKS. The game sucks, you suck, Nevrax sucks, and I'm not offering any suggestions except to give you the finger, and I might come back on the boards to moan about how unhappy I am until my subscription expires.

2. WE LUV THE DEVS! Let's kiss some rear end and get props going for all the things we pay them to do! They did such a wonderful job for me this one time that I don't want to hear any other things besides they're GODS and maybe if I do this enough I'll become a guide! I'm in LOVE! Stay off my boards with any other topic, since you're whining unless you absolutely agree with me what a wonderful perfect game this is! And don't you dare challenge my assertion anywhere since the boards and threads are MINE and should be reserved for only MY kiss-rear-end opinions and and anyone who doesn't like them should quit the game to leave me and 5 other people to play!!!!!

Just an observation, and anyone who gets offended by such characterization should probably reread their own posts. :)

thing is with the na server, grimjim is right, we are given a large box of lego and no instructions cept use your imagination to build something. that being said all the whiners on the board want the set built for them

i am more than happy to play with the lego i have right now and the big expansion that's coming i'll have more fun with that.

thing is most ppl on the na server are part of the mtv generation that expects everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. when they are given a choice they don't know what to do, mostly cause it's unknown water. they never had to use their imagination at all because they were told how to think and "be independant" but in reality they can't make their own choices without asking all their friends.

maybe if everyone learned to make their own choice and think on their own it would be different but right now they're just one of the herd

i'm just making my own path like i always have
