Our plan was similar for the Tryker boss. There's a friendly tribe just SW called Mektoub Riders or something(I know for sure Mektoub was in their name) that we had planned to run the minions to and see if they would fight each other. I'm thinking a well balanced group with both range and magic protection auras and some launchers for the intial attack on the towers is required.
The other problem is all the aggro around there... Cutes, Torbaks, Zerx all in one clump... They really make you work for this
