Actually, I'd say you do speak for your guild and that your actions and posts speak for them as well given your signature line and rank.

I would only have a beef if ONLY the craftsman's name was on the market. Meaning, if it looked like HADDO was being greedy, then I would be really upset. If all that were true, which I think it isn't, it would look to me like someone was trying to make Haddo look bad.

Greed does exist, it is the fuel of the US economy, the wants...not needs of millions feed millions more. Right or wrong is immaterial, it IS.

I do agree though that one player jacking up prices is rude at the very least.

I don't think the issue is Haddo being greedy because I think for the quality of jewelry he is making his prices are quite fair. The issue is that Haddo before he went on vacation asked people not to resell his items in Fyros after a couple of people did so he addressed the issue, and he said it was ok if they were resold in the Tryker, Matis and Zorai.

It doesn't bother me other than the fact Haddo had asked for it not to be done before he left, at least that is the last I heard about it before he left, and what has happened is that a few people have seen the opportunity to make some cash. I'm not assuming anything though. I think it is best if we wait for Haddo to come back and see whats what. If it doesn't bother the crafter, then it shouldn't be a big deal because like some others have pointed out it is a free market economy. I do know some crafters have stopped selling high ql wares at the market and just make them upon request or just for their guildiees to put a stop to such practices. Haddo will be back soon and this will all get sorted out I'm quite sure.

Yes, Basic, the smiley is completely approriate to a threat of a guild war over the resale of two Haddo rings.

I have been supplying dozens of q100 to q140 hp jewelry pieces to the merchants in Haddo's absence, to fill a market need and to help my guild recover from the recent server deletion. My prices have apparently been reasonable because they have been selling well, and nobody else has been able or willing to do so that I have seen at a quality above 110. I believe Haddo would approve these actions, but he's not here to ask.

Understand that I have discussed this directly with Basic, who insisted I apologize here for reselling Haddo's jewelry at a profit. I offered to retrieve them from the market, but that was not possible because somebody out there thought my price was fair given current market conditions, and bought them. I have offered to make such an apology to Haddo if/when he himself indicates that he has been offended by my actions - but I will not concede that Basic is the spokeshomin for Haddo, and do so under threat of war. If I were Haddo, I would be greatly offended that Basic presumed to take such action in my name - but I'm not Haddo. Neither is Basic.

To those who may have been counting on my attempt to assist Haddo fill the demand for HP jewelry, I regret to inform you that until such time that Basic/OmegaV's threat of guild war is rescinded, I must return to training my combat skillls full time or nearly so. To those guilds that are actively allied with Order of the Dragon, I will supply you with whatever I can make out of the mats you provide. Basic, if your objective was to ensure that there were reasonably-priced jewelry on the market, I suggest you clarify your threat at this time.

If the threat of a guild war on an apparent whim is not rescinded, I will offer (to my guildmates) to resign from the Order that they might not suffer for my horrific crime of reselling a pair of rings. I do not know if that would satisfy Basic, though. What is it, Basic? Are you just itching for a war with a guild you can easily defeat should you meet us in a PvP zone, or do you truly consider yourself a white knight crusader fighting for the common homin? If the latter, please review how well the Crusades worked out on Earth, for all involved.

I have attempted to be involved in the game, with my guild, and now in the forums - and it seems the more involved you get, the more ridiculous drama you are subjected to. I am reminded of a truism: "No good deed goes unpunished."

Anyone with any opinion on this latest melodrama, please do share your thoughts pro or con.

Aye, it shouldn't be that big of deal. Heck I saw where someone was selling some fine ql 100 hvy armor fyros pants for 100,000 dappers. Is it overpriced? I thought so, and I don't think they sold because there wasn't a demand for that type of item in the market in Fyros. Good jewelry, and good amps...i can never find a good freaking amp.....are always in high demand or at least have been since the game started so to me it is no big deal if a crafter sells a ware that is demand at a high price. Heck, a crafter can sell or resell a ware for any price they think they can get for it. Supply and demand will usually determine the price of a ware and if it will sell at that price or not in a game market like SoR's just like it does in the real world.

As far as who bought and resold Haddo's stuff, I think it would be best if everyone waited till Haddo got back because it really comes down to a he said, she said deal. If Haddo has a problem with a person(s) that bought and resold his jewelry while he was gone, I'm sure he will be get together with that person(s) and they will come to an agreement or something.

Keoni, I think basicart was just kidding around as there was a big smiley at the end of his post although I could be wrong.

I would have thought so as well, rrw, if he had not sent me a /tell in-game restating the same thing very explicitly:

"Basic: only fair to warn you OmegaV are kill on sight in pvp zones on your guild."

After a very lengthy discussion, I received no indication from him that the initial threat was rescinded.

Quick update: after talking with a High Officer of OmegaV, who knew nothing of this issue, it would appear that this was one guild member feigning to talk for his guild as a whole. It seems highly probable that this is what it should be: a non-issue.
