The only think I really want/need atm is a lvl170+ non-red light full focus armor. The stats arent even that important, as I only dig with it and I *assume* it will last much longer than the price I pay for it.
Same goes for jewels btw, a 170+ full focus jewelset, non-Tryker.
But then, who doesnt want this

You were able to check out the stats and the price. So its NO scam.
Crafters are free to place their wares at any price, so what the hell people think they can criticise a crafter for placing his stuff at a price well over what other people do. Nobody forces you to buy their stuff.
Its no wonder that fewer and fewer crafter even bother to sell their stuff. You know they don't need to because money is really no issue in this game.
I have the greatest of admiration and respect for craters, Sky. I have bought and used your excellent waving Tryker swords and and have been extrememly happy with them. My argument or complaint is not with crafters in general nor am i criticising all crafters in general as people seem to assume. My bugbear is with this one person. As you said, high lvl crafters dont need the money, so why the ridiculous pricing.
And again as you said, they are free to place their wares at any price they choose and that is within their rights(although I would think within limits of reasonableness, but thats just my opinion). But you nor anyone else have answered my question about whether I am right in exercising my right to name that person and letting everyone know about it.
And how different is it from someone charging 60k for q50 mats. There was a huge thread about it recently and a lot of people seem to agree that was wrong and in a sense a scam.

TBH you only have yor self to blame, so i would say no need to name and shame just learn from your mistake and dont buy without applying fliters or checking prices.

I think you missunderstood that. The issue with placing stacks of mats on the vendor at very high prices is that the people selling don't really want to sell the mats, but use it as extendend storage place.
If people buy these things its the same issue as if buying items sold at a much higher price then usual.
Why high level crafters take a lot of money for their wares? Partly its because they can. Partly its because it keeps the amount of requests low. Most high level crafters these days will either tell you they only craft for guild mates or they only craft for mats.
I basically leveled my crafting always to be self sufficient and to be able to equip myself. Selling and crafting for guild was just a nice thing to do when i got the mats or the time to get the mats.
I am sure many other crafters did/do the same.
Remember its a game that everyone can play the way he likes as long as its he concures with the EULA and the CoC.

Can only say one think indeed, watch the prices again and again.
Two things actually: Could be worst.....and we lucky to be on Aripostle...
Found a thread on french forums of crafters complaining as apparently some players are buying player crafted items from merchant (some crafters do sell at honest prices) and mark them up big time just to speculate......GRRR..
So as far as I am concerned:
1/I check prices twice
2/I will never buy a player crafted items which hasnt been put on sale by the crafter himself...
But you see amazing things on aripostle as well:
Invite you to have a look at the Q50 heavy merchant in Yrk for a BIG laugh......(some ppl......)
I saw this guy reselling some stuff from other crafters too: seems to be THE speculator of Aripostle lol (and a dumb one too lolololol)

Naming and Shaming ppl on forums can also be abused ,we've alrdy seen this in some posts (most notably in the guild forum). People who put "Scam" prices on items are alrdy advertising themselves as a Scammer in the most apropriot (sp?) place -at the merchant on the very item they are trying to sell , these people will become known from their own actions so theres no need for anyone else to shame them as well.
Learn from your mistake -check prices and use filters , let the ingame comunity judge these ppl "ingame" and keep the forums a friendly place to exchange info and ideas

Im a crafter who aims at providing a large variety at the mid-range q60-q120 rather than power level in 1-2 items.
Im always checking to see the prices being charged by the competition, generally there all about the same occasionally Ill see someone chancing it by doing 300-400%. Ive hardly seen any cases in Matis
But more often Im seeing the dirty little trappers who slip in mats with outrageous prices hoping some crafter will click without looking closely. Thankfully since I feed my mek about 10 times a day im dont have enough enough to get caught out lol.
