In which Cerest gives you the straight reason why there's a difference and moderation style. But this doesn't satisfy you, you want to prove that Cerest is LAZY, and a LIAR to boot.

This thread really pisses me off.

I'm pretty sure that most of rayne's posts are from the RP forums.... If not most, then a sizable chunk.

I started playing in the open beta right before launch. I was one of the few who bought the pre-order. And yes I have a lot of posts, many are from the RP boards.

I did apoligize to Cerest for this thread, it's really not her fault and I know she does try. I'm just angry and frustrated that after five months the game is still lacking basic content. I really do love this game, but its at a point where that just isn't enough anymore.

**I just looked and my account was created on September 22, 2004. The Day that Ryzom launched.

The encylopedia was what really pushed me over the edge, especially this last patch. The patch consisted of a few bug fixes including the amber fix. I figured that once the fix went it it would allow me to finish the other entires that had appeared, it didn't, in fact it did nothing.

This game was suppose to be about a story. The story was suppose to be central to game play and the players were suppose to chart their own story on each server. It is now 5 months into the game and none of that has happened. Very basic story elements like missions and NPC's you can talk to are completly absent in the game.

You ask why am I still here? Well I wanted to get my hands on the encylopedia content. It was bugged in Jan, so I waited for the fix. My subscription ends the 29th of each month. As the fix wasn't put in the game until after my subscription date, I didn't cancel. Now since I have seen what they have done, to the delight of many, I will probably not renew at the end of the month. (unless something drastic changes)

This game has great possibilites unfortuanitly it will never reach those as it ends up driving long time players away with a bad taste in their mouth.

My apoligies to Cerest as my frustration and anger over the state of the game came out against you and it shouldn't have.

You know raynes, i sympathize with you, that you are not getting what you want.

but golly gee batman, maybe it is time to focus on other areas of life. Get a pet or something.................

slow down you going to give yourself a heart attack, all stressed out over a game and i know, i know you going to come back and tell me you not stressed, and you are just presenting your flawless logic................etc.

Actually I'm not going to disagree with you. I'm taking a break from the game right now. I'll still check the boards out but I won't be in game much for a bit.

Raynes, if you are not going to be satisfied until your happy, then there will be many, many days when you are not satisfied.

On the other hand, if you are not going to be happy until you are satisfied, well then you stand a snow ball's chance that you may be able to achieve happiness on a more regular basis.

You can set up some filters:
1. dont expect people or organizations to always stay as they are, they change often

2. expectations can lead to dissappointment, especially when it is dependent upon others to fulfill them (see #1)

3. the secert of the power to change is not that others change so you be happy, but that you change only what you have the ability to change

4. oh and remember to filter out the unimportant stuff as soon as you can

5. and from Ursula K. Le Guin a quote i like to think about when i feel like fighting an up hill battle "to oppose something is to maintain it"

you might find the game more tolerable and fun in this manner.

mind you these are only suggestions, far be it from me to tell you or anyone else what to do, it is just some things i picked up along the way of making many misjudgements and having many misperceptions of the world and my place in it.

Good Luck raynes

If you think the response time and the lack of updates on this game is bad why don't you go check out the 2.5 month 1000 post long thread at WoW that has still been unanswered by the devs.

+ there are many more in the 300-500 range that still get no response from the devs.

At least the devs(And OMG even ppl higher than the devs) respond to posts and concerns.

Quit trolling

Ummm, Cerest is also 5 hours behind the Europeans in Time Zones - Naturally there will be a delay in her getting stuff. And if I were in her position, I'd get pretty sick of reading all these posts all day long. If you are so impressed with the Euro team, why don't you just go play over there. Cut her some slack Raynes, have you ever been a community manager - I feel for anyone who does it for any game. ( :

because he would have to buy another box and would have to start from zero again?
