Concentration stanza requires me to drop 2 levels of power to be used - not enough bricks.

from Fire 200, I have to go down to Fire 140 or 160 at best if i want to use the stanza; interruptions kill you. But i do agree, if somoene is healing me from behind this conversation is moot.

In a group a mage is invaluable - solo though......

If i was 250 in both elemental magic and any type of fight line i'd chose elemental as my main class at the moment. You can grab nice 96% or better elemental gloves pretty easly right now, what you cant get is nice Supreme weapons that are the same level nearly as easly. Once people start getting thier hands on supreme weapons that hit for max damage AND hit faster then a caster can cast is when you'll see that melee does have the upper hand. But as it is now due to supply, Elemental is at the front of the line. This is only in PvP, this isnt taking into consideration PvE which I feel is completely borked.
