If you ordered a pair of shoes, opened the box to see them sitting all nice & shiny but found they had no sole (soul?) on them when you took them out, would you be happy? Even when the maker said he would sort them but didn't, would you sit patiently while he spun you excuses about the delay in getting the finished product to you, would you be happy?
Nevrax offered a shiny new game. It gave a timetable of releases & did not deliver. Not only have we paid for the game but we are paying for the time that it takes to correct the mistakes and deliver on their promises.
I love the world, the characters & the community but I hate being taken for a ride, especially at my expense. Now I am losing old friends whose loyalty has been tested to the limit.
I read about people praising the Kitin attack scenario (a beta throwback) and that the devs have since been honest about the fact that they can't get the outpost scenario working. They are still taking my money (and yours) while they struggle to keep to promises that are an implicit part of the Ryzom contract. They are now in breach of that contract.
I've kept giving it one more week, but I don't know how long that can last. I will make my point to the devs (if they ever get our messages) but on my own it means nothing.
Are you happy your shoes have no soul?
Alyssah.
If it was 1000 Euro's per month i might agree with ya...
Why does every online game have wankers like you complaining about peanuts.

In the end as old players die, new ones are born.
The strongest warrior has not yet entered the game,
The greatest crafter has still to pick up his tools,
The most persistent harvester hasn't yet walked the lands of Atys,
The bravest Hero is still to come
As there is life, there is death
The game is eternal, if it be taken away from us, fear not
it still exists in our hearts and minds, for we are the Saga of Ryzom.

That is a very big miss for our community. Cloudwalker was the person who helped many ppl in the game- me too. I m sorry that you left Cloud and I wish you all the best .
I like this game a lot, but I think that Alyssah made the point. Doesnt matter if you pay 1 or 1000 euro. The promises must be kept. I understand that if you rich high lvl in many skills there is no follow up yet. So you can be bored. I hope that the game will move forward soon. Guilds fights, outpost ect. There will be more and more ppl over 200 lvl in many skills. So devs must do something fast. Otherwise more ppl will go away from us soon.

Thank you all for your replies, even Zippo123. If you have no problem with pouring good money after bad then I could do the same to you (for a small fee of course) as Nevrax does to me. I would be quite willing to be paid to insult your intelligence, although in your case Zippo it might be money hard earned. Then again, maybe not.
Cloudwalker is now running around like a two year old in EQ2, which for some reason he likes but does miss the really good community atmosphere that Ryzom gives. Which sorta proves my point.....we make the game, not the devs.
The point about the kitin raids was that it was a last minute stop gap to take our mind off the delays. Could you perhaps tell me how long this was tested on the ATS? And if it was, how come the testers didn't pan the whole clumpiness of it? Maybe the devs will blame the testers, if they ever communicate.
The point that you all seem to miss was that 'I love Ryzom', pity about the gameplay is all.
Thanks all,
Alyssah.
