Re: It's a PvP poll not a flame thread o_o

As anyone that knows me IG (and probably anyone that knows me on the forums) will know, I'm not an offensive person. At least I hope that is the case. However....

F*** you, and F*** you all. *nods defiantly*
Yeah!
And ... stuff. Why do we need to perpetuate this whole argument? Kara have it all and Kami have nothing (really?) Well, I do apologise, but I'm Kamist (and am actually neutral in belief, only Kamist for TPs (AND PROUD)) and I have never had any trouble in acquiring ANY OP benefits. It's not like I'm even a well known player! I'm not famous on the shard, I don't command a lot of respect like a lot of other people I know do (Sash, for example, who started playing at pretty much the same time as me, knows many more people than I do and could probably get a lot more stuff than me!) but I still don't have any trouble getting OP stuff. I don't see why people complain so much?! It doesn't take a lot...I dig materials for my OP stuff...And I don't have to PvP ... I don't get forced into PvP [OP] battles to save my Outpost, because I don't have one! In my opinion, I'm far better off than anyone that actually owns an OP. I've been an OP-owner (when the Samsara had Woodburn Stronghold) and we sold it! We weren't PvP fanatics and we decided that the OP was more trouble than it was worth. So we got rid of it. Simple. Since the day we got rid of it, I've had as many cats and OP mats and flowers as I ever had when my guild owned an OP. So many OP owners are willing to give away their OP stuff. I mean, jeez, I deal with staunch KA supporters! They are happy to trade, and I don't think that anyone who has any kind of business head would ever struggle. Obviously not everyone can dig q250 materials, but I'm sure that a lot of (most?) people have _something_ they can trade? Perhaps I'm an oldie and I don't remember what it's like to be a newer player, but seriously, if I have no trouble then it can't be very hard to get OP stuff. I have absolutely no sympathy for players that whine about the fact that it's "PvP-only content". That's rubbish. OP benefits are perfectly obtainable through diplomatic means, I am living proof of that. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for non-PvP outposts (my guild is getting rather large and I can't pay for everyone to be catted-to-the-eyeballs, as much as I wish I could) but as it stands, it's really not that difficult to get OP rewards. It just takes a little bit of effort and some kind of "hard" work from you. It annoys me when people whine about being 'excluded' from the OP rewards, all it takes is a little work to satisfy the people who own OPs, and it doesn't take any [in a lot of cases, unwanted] PvP and hassle. The politics involved in owning an OP are much more stressful and hard work than doing a bit of digging or out-of-team healing, or any other recompense you can think of. Seriously guys, get a grip! (This might be off-topic and flamey and whatever else, but I honestly don't care atm...I need to vent so I'm venting!)
After all that typing [mostly crap, I know], in short : I don't own an OP and I haven't done for a long time; I still have as many cats and mats and flowers as I need. It's not hard. Get over it and start doing business!
If you hate me now, or if I've offended you, or directly contradicted your beliefs, or if you just generally don't like me and want to have a go, please reach me at "/tell nillian" followed by whatever abuse you can muster. In fact, I would love to debate this point with a lot of people!
I used to think I'd never make a set of Maga amps. I used to think I'd never see another catalyser in my life. I used to think I'd never make a Vedice pike again. I used to think I'd never [insert OP related thingy here] ... but I have. And I will continue to, as long as I put in the effort. Stop moaning, and start being forward-thinking and proactive, talk to OP owners and sort out some deals. Believe me, if I can do it, it really can't be that hard!
