wow after reading this whole 19 page thread and seeing the responses from what appear to be top communtiy players/"leaders", people who have posted hundreds and thousands of times and the stupid arguements they seem to always bring up..mabey they are just the kind of "leet" immature people who seem to ruin a great game like this with their "i've played this game so long i should make the rules attitude"

seems to me littletiger only wants to make the game a little more interesting..seems everyone else wants him to go away cuz it's "their" game and he came in too late to be able to make any kind of difference or have any kind of say in the game.

lighten up everyone..from what i see here if i was a new player i would simply just go look for a different game because this one seems to have players who don't welcome any new thoughts on the game how it is from any newer players

Well as our dear friends the Samsara were so fond of telling us at the time they owned an OP, owning an OP is soooo much hassle

Kye has it pretty much on the nose. It was very stressful for me and overall it wasn't fitting for the guild. The neutral issue became a huge issue and again caused massive stress for me and others in the guild. I never said it was a "hassle". (The guild voted to sell it, not me)

There are quite a few OP's that have never been attacked, 3 of which are in the lakelands, and if you add peaceful transfers the number increases by a good bit.

The solution is not removing the benefits of the present OP's. It is adding something so that everyone with every style of play can get something.

The main benefits should go to the players who are playing the game as designed. Anyone who has ever GM'd a table top game where a group just decides not to go into the dungeon knows what I am talking about.

Well as a player that around the same time as littletiger I could do without "All carebears. UP *****" kind of intresting followed up by the bad excuses that it is a joke or that he has a different definition of 'carebear' then every other player I've seen use it as an insult (maybe he has a different definition of joke too which explains it!) but not wanting to hear him insulting players that don't share his favorite play style isn't the same as wanting him to leave or saying he can't make an impact in the game.

I was giving credit to those 30 people or so that pvp'ed that day, and wether or not you guys like it, the carebear comment was a joke.
And i even added my definition to it, which is shared by several thousand people from other MMO's, with FAR more players then all of ryzom combined.

Now, if you wanna flame my ass, go right ahead, your sorry attempt of putting the guild of people flaming on my ass is so far out in space that its not even funny. People in this game hate pvp, give me ONE reason to care?

If you have ever talked to me ingame, grouped with me, hunted with me.
Youll see that with the exeption of joking around quite a bit, and making a mistake towards a couple of people that i respect deeply(which i appologised for and made up for later on). I treat most people with respect, and i help them when i can.

When a puppy (or I guess a tiger cub) poops on the carpet, you rub his nose in it so he doesn't do it again. You don't heap praise on him.

Keep in mind they weren't set up lore wise or otherwise as pure PvP content in most of the long lead up to their implementation.
