I don't like grouping is all, I like to wander about and do what I like without worrying about getting other folks killed

Hey everyone, I just joined Ryzom today. My name's Cory, I'm 18, and I live in the US. Nice to meet you all in advance.

Greetings, all. My name is Brian, I'm 34, and live in the US. I just made my Ryzom account today, and plan on playing some as soon as I get out of the excruciatingly boring meeting I'm trapped in.
I'm a long time RPG player, who has played many pen and paper, single player, and online RPGs. I've become very disatisfied with the current batch of RPGs on the market, and decided to try out Ryzom after quitting World of Warcraft recently. I read that Ryzom will be introducing player created content, which gave me warm fuzzy memories of my MUD and MUSH days, and decided to give the game a look.
I'm looking for an online RPG that has a focus on actual roleplaying, a rich and detailed world, and a friendly and fun community. Ryzom's game setting struck me as being well thought out and very original, so I've decided to give it a go. Hopefully I'll find myself a nice new home here!
Brian

I just joined Ryzom yesterday, and now would probably be a good time to introduce myself, so I don't go about doing it once I've played for months. I'm 15 years old and come from Denmark. I have played most of the MMORPGs on the market, and only 2 have really been standing out from the crowd: Project Entropia and Saga of Ryzom. I played Project Entropia for nearly 2 years now, but a newly made update made such radical changes that I decided to try out Ryzom... so far it seems very promising, with an awesome community

Hello all, I'm 5 days into the free trial and I think I've stumbled across the sleeper hit of MMO's in 2005. Will be buying the game for sure.
I'm 41 years old, been gaming for 27 years and I hail from Melbourne, Australia. My character in-game is called Koorby and I'm still on Matis island having a ball. Only level 19 combat at the moment and will soon hit the mainland. Would love to find some guilds with members in my timezone (I'll post elsewhere re: that).
I've just reviewed and rated SoR at MMORPG.COM with high marks; this deserves to be succesful, I hope it will be.
See you all in the game!

Hi Folks,
I just picked up this MMO and registerd it at work. I haven't had chance to play it yet until I get home.
My name is Andy and I come from Whalley - Lancashire - England. I'm 34 years young, married and have 3 year old daughter.
I have just quit SWG today. I was there for 14 months but the /repsec issue that is around now was the last straw for me. I had 3 accounts on there.
Can't wait to get into game and see what all this is about. I have no idea what I'll be, who I'll be or where I'll be.
Cheers
Andy

I hate being late... only really just discovered this game tonight and signed up for the trial, and currently waiting on the patch, after having waited all day for the download, but if the game is anything like it sounds, i'll be hooked and willing to pay double to play it. anyway, enough of that.
Me and my wife will both be playing, we live in a large village near Durham, UK (NE england).
We both clock up a lot of hours playing MMOs these days, probably far too many, as working from home certainly makes life easier to be online. we're both in our 20's, have pet hamsters and chinchillas, and a dog (more like a cat in a dogs body really).
Personaly i've beta tested Anarchy online, Earth and Beyond, dabbled in EQ1 and UO using friends acounts when i could, but together me and my wife have played SWG, EQ2 and guild wars, all of which left us looking for something more.
Really hoping to get into this game and we love the lore, anyway, free trial going to waste and my patch is done.
no doubt we'll be looking for a guild in the near future. more than likely being zorai, possibly matis siding with zorai. who knows...

Well, just finished ordering my copy of ryzom, should be here in a few days. As such I figure I should probobly introduce myself huh?
Ok then... well let's see here how should i start this.
I guess with a "Hello there" or something like that.
I guess I could just tell you all a little bit about me. Ok fair enough I can do that.
My name is Christian. I'm 31 years old. Been playin mmog's for oh... i'd say around 4-5 years, somethin like that.
I'm not sure what race i'm going to play at this point, iv'e been playing fyros but now that I've decided this is going to be my game, i'm taking a moment to possibly rethink that. Maybe, not, we will have to see how the night pans out I guess.
I LOVE talking game mechanics, so for those of you that are into this, I love waxing intellectual (if thats even possible when talking about virtual worlds lol) about game systems.
Anyway, If you want to know more just shoot me a pm or a tell. Right now I'm Cerebrix in game. I also have a zorai named Whynter.
So umm... yeah. Nice meetin you all and ahh... have a good one

Hi everyone. =)
I bought Ryzom last week but credit card issues delayed my registration until this afternoon. I played way way back in open beta and am eager to see how things are going.
I'm an eighteen-almost-nineteen year old university student from eastern Canada, and I'm an avid webdesigner and lover of clean HTML.
I look forward to meeting people ingame, and am certain I'll be around for quite some time. =)
