Hmmm... don't see you in many OP battles Ky... Hey wait, don't you have one of those things that make crystals; what're they called again? Oh yeah, an outpost.
Point disproved.
As for people who don't have an OP and still want to enjoy the rewards from them, I hear Kyerna is always interested in earning some money

The overall result is: if you wanna see every mob, find a significant proportion of the best spots for digging, if you wanna learn and use every craft plan, you gotta pvp...
And thats no BS.
I agree that you must accept the possibility that you could be attacked to enjoy the pvp zones and their rewards. However, in practice, I have found extremely little pvp in these areas. I am digging q250 mats in PR now, ground most of those levels in pvp zones, and have only been attacked once. I was annoyed at the time, but in hindsight, I find that encounter humorous. I have killed all of those bosses you mention without any hint of PvP in the air. Most of the boss hunting occurs on server reboots where everyone is waaaay too busy racing around killing bosses to think about pvp.

I fail to see how. Any guild owning an Outpost automatically excludes others to it's content and opens themselves up to the possibility of getting attacked.

Agreed, something the Samsara have plenty of experience with. We took up a defensive only alliance structure and we still got grief.
Thats why we sold our OP, to get out of the forced PvP-for-content rubbish, we've been "making do" ever since..

Well afaik you've never had to pvp to keep your outpost?
As for "excluding others to its content", there's nothing stopping you selling/giving/trading the supposed pvp-only content (which you have yet to pvp to access) to other people who dislike pvp. I think it might even be an interesting experiment to see whether it works better than the "Community Outpost".
I know people who have never showed up to an outpost battle (or maybe just 1 or 2) and still enjoy the benefits of them. Just because people refuse to take the risk to access the content doesn't mean its impossible for them to do so via other means.

Community OPs etc are player made solutions to a mechanical imbalance. And as our dear friend "darcred" seems well up for attacking them...
Trading is a win/win situation for the PvPers. Most want for example grind mats. So I can dig for 1-2 hours a night to get what other players in PvP guilds get for 2 hours PvP a week (more often 2 hours a month)? uh does that sound fair?

You don't have to risk being attacked if you don't have an outpost
