Don't confuse 'head' with launcher I bet xavier is even surprised to see where we stand today: with a serious project.
Concerning the spam problem I'll discard this: it would be the same as saying that jolt isn't correct because soulsnatcher gived is personnal opinion even though he must remain objective considering is role here. I won't use this argument because it would be a low one even if true.
Now considering the projet itself.
Yes I sounded very unprofessional in a first time, but original and with positive motivation (I guess all of you are now conscient that it can't be to stole money anymore.)
What I can't really understand is the flame on the projet:
you may well disapprove there are good reasons and the actual presentation might be one it but I don't see why hating it so much.
That, considering we don't even know the other propositions ( stop dreaming about big compagnies ... who are the dreamer here? ) It's quite an unstable position to compare something with clear objectives, a futur for ryzom and ... well nothing. At least an honest intellectual position wouldn't dare the nothing.
Sure the budget as to be rewritten since the first dream-like plan.
Wrong two weeks are not enough, we tried our best and some people didn't even slept: here we are with the current 3 partner plan.
A plan that doesn't take away the ideals and let ryzom live. With some serious financial power and expertise:
-Us the player, we are also the player community of ryzom even if it doesn't pleases you. Acting as a major role
-Olivier Lejade, who hasn't show anything impressive the past years but departed before the dream of Ryzom became what we know today: an beautifull place of broken promises not even capable to survive with it's current player list. ( don't fool yourself it's not us who have kept ryzom alive but contributor not willing to loose what they put in...)
-Valentin Lacambre, network and server specialist ( why continue with jolt a side compagnie as we can have a central one with us? ) and a well known figure of open software.
What I see on the paper is surely not enough to convince me, but sometime you gotta take risk and trust people. I trust them for i trust us.
Come on people stay calm we are on the same side: the survival of Ryzom. We just don't share the means to do this, this is not a valid reason to rise walls between us.
