... so ....
when are they going to open up the PR/nexus outposts :D

I know there are workarounds for the GvG zones, but at least it would be more difficult than the current situation

if not making it gvg, how about shorten the time between declaring and battle? 24 hours seems to be a lot of time to gather huge defense. keep on the defense round, there would be the chance for defenders to organise defense. but as it is now
the defenders have a lot of time to organise,
they have the advantage of the npc and
they have their second chance in the defense round

with a shorter time between declaring and battle we would maybe see more wars going into the defense round at least.
btw how does a guild get notified that someone declared war on their op?

If one happens to be on at the time war is declared, I think there's a little window that pops up.

Acting as you please and expecting a swift mechanical change to address the problems isn't smart either and, honestly, you don't have to wait for mechanical changes. There's a lot in how people choose to act and agreements they can make, but you wouldn't/haven't/won't see that.
Im not expecting a mechanical change, nor wanting one. The fact is there are pros and cons to gvg and fvf, and there are always going to be people who want one over the other, if the mechanics were the other way around, there would be plenty of people campaigning for the ability to allow allies to help. This is yet another example of you attempting to impose how you wish the game to be played on other people. Riders requested a gvg, good on them. GoJ declined, and they are perfectly within there rights to do so. Maybe you should go and design and play some of your own scenarios, with npcs, that way everyone can play just how you want them to. Until then, stop talking down to me, and stop telling me and other people how to play.

Sure, soon as you stop FORCING other people to play your way.
There are ways to satisfy GvG with smaller alliances.
Hey, I sometimes wish I could 'impose' upon others a different way to play, but I can't, the mechanics don't support enforcement of my play decisions but they do enforce yours.

As to talking down to you sure, as soon as you start showing some manner of conscience or concern for other people.

Perhaps another metaphore might get it through.

Imagine you go to the cinema.
Everyone pays for a ticket to see the film, 'Things Exploding II' or whatever.
You all file in and sit down.
When the film starts, one ****tard starts taking calls on his mobile phone, shouting along, pre-empting parts of the dialogue and telling everyone the ending.

When challenged by another irate moviegoer his excuse is "I paid for my ticket like everyone else, I can watch the bloody film how I want!"

Not acceptable is it?

That help? Any inkling there? Any hint of cognition? A gleam of understanding? A glimmer of conscience?

Or just more 'Lol' and accusing others of the very thing you're actually doing?

I dont know how this ended up as a personal attack on me, considering i'm not even in GoJ.

I would actually be quite interested in a guild versus guild op battle. But yet again you rant and rave at people for not playing the game like you want them to, and make allusions to selfishness and question peoples morals etc ya da ya da ya da. Weve heard it all from you before.

So now apparently those who dont want to gvg have no conscience or concern for other people, what a fantastic argument. Congrats you've just insulted 3/4 of the server :)

And another amazing comparison with RL, cause those ALWAYS work dont they.

Imagine this...

Everyone pays for a ticket to see the film, 'Things Exploding II' or whatever.
You all file in and sit down.
When the film starts, no one breaks any of the rules set down by the cinema, they get on with enjoying the film in their own way, some have popcorn, some have cola, but in general everyones there to enjoy the movie.
Half way through the film some a**hat at the back starts shouting at you for sitting with your legs crossed, or munching your popcorn too loud, or moving your head too much, or just about anything that he can find to whinge about.

Not acceptable is it?

That help? Any inkling there? Any hint of cognition? A gleam of understanding? A glimmer of conscience?

hint: YOURE THE A**HAT!
