Will any of you lot ever be happy with the game?

No matter what is said or done with the game you will always find something to complain about. If the GMs did something like monitor every little battle you would accuse them of spying and clamping down. If they let things follow a natural pace you accuse them of not enforcing the rules. There were no worthwhile drops of loot at the beginning and people complained. Now we have people bickering over said loot and mobs that drop them.

When will it ever end?

I was hoping this thread would disappear when the NA server shut down, but no it is still running.

Human nature I guess, but some carry it a bit far. To have this thread up to 15 pages and still complaining about it is getting a bit much

It has gotten where I have no idea what is what is anymore. all I see is fingers pointing all over saying, they did it, no they did it.

can we just lay this thing to rest. You know that what ever the GM's do it is going to be wrong to someone

It isn't even constructive anymore. It is like a little kid stamping their feet and saying it isn't my way I want it my way.

thing about this thread is it would be gone if the gm's actually did something to enforce the rules that they've laid out for us and are supposedly there to enforce

thing is i like this game and i don't have a problem with most aspects of the game

i DO have a problem with the gm's not enforcing the rules and therefore breaking the contract and eula that we agree to when we join the game.


so if you are follwing me, that means that nothing is enforcable since the gm's themselves have invalidated the contract, which also means taht nevrax has wrongfully collected our money all these months

now Loomas is a very good friend of mine & i hope it stays that way,....

remember when i Quit Melinoe?
remember when i quit even though i had Officer rank?
remember who it was i quit over?
remember what he said in Guild chat about a team which he was part of & also you Loomas?
remember he was a member of that team aswell,,, BUT did nothing at all to help the team?
remember who the other member was who was not a Melinoe member who took a great deal of DP to help Melinoe members?

well i REMEMBER it all & to this day i have not spoke to Doubletap for all the reasons i remember above & you remember them too Loomas.

You were Leader of Melinoe, DT talked to the Team like S**t. not in team chat, but in Guild chat for everyone to hear. he slagged off the whole team, including you & myself, then said he was disgusted with the lot of us & he logged. well i said after that, we might have got DP, but we got what we went after, & we had FUN.

but the minute DT logged ( which he done b4 anyone could talk to him ) i said, thats it, i had enough of his Bull, he constantly puts Melinoe members down, breaks god knows how many rules from the CoC, & i quit the Guild, i refused to be in a Guild where 1 person can do or say what he likes to all other members, ( INCLUDING THE LEADER ), & you Loomas say to us in a /tell ignore him, we all know what he is like., yes we do know what he is like, but if that had been any other member, they would have been booted from Guild for doing a fraction of what he says or does.

After i quit, i got countless tells from members asking me why i Quit. so i posted a " my reason's for leaving Melinoe " on the Melinoe site, a double post, one in Officers Lounge & one in Guild Members Lounge, DT deleted the Guild Members post cause he didnt want them reading, i guess the truth hurts eh?

then i had members asking me what it would take for me to go back to melinoe,,, lol, this was simple, ..
3 things

1/ i got officer or HO rank.
2/ DT appologies's to all members for his outbursts.
3/ he Kisses my ASS until the day the game dies.

thankfully i joined another 2 Guilds & now i am in my own Guild, well really Mine & Neva's & i am very happy now. But just so you know, after some serious thought, if back then i really thought abiout what it would have taken to get me back into Melinoe, i would have not given 3 answers., there would only be 1 answer..

!/ DOUBLETAP would have to be BOOTED from Guild.

so as a leader, stop trying to please 1 person in the Guild, try pleasing them all & as Leader, stand upto him, cause from what i have seen & heard since i left, not 1 thing has changed.

so note Loomas, i am not falling out with you, i am your friend, but as a leader, you MUST take a stand against ANY member who is giving others grief & breaking the Rules/CoC, do not send /tells saying, ignore him., i guess you already seen that sending /tells doesnt work, it mostly makes the members lose faith in you as a leader & they all know it is pretty much pointless approaching you with any problem relating to DT, they all know, " hey, it's DT, he does what he wants, lets just live with it , lets just let him talk down to us all the time, yeah, infact, why dont i keep paying for this game so some idiot can talk to me like dirt when he feels like it, i wont say anything incase he stops my friends from teaming with me "... lol

Ryzom rules state: “You may not harass, threaten, embarrass nor discomfort any other players.”

Loomas told me I took the repeated verbal attacks too personal, and now its cause I am a drama queen. Thats ok Loomas, I'm not mad at you. You can try to make it look like it’s me, but you know, I know and most of windy server people know DT very well by reputation, and they also know you, as leader do nothing about his actions to other players. That don't mean you aren’t a nice guy. You are a sweet and well tempered person. In your own way, you are trying to keep peace for the majority while occasionally having to sacrifice a member or two who get distressed when they are targeted with this abuse.

Melinoe has a great reputation because DT has tirelessly and mostly single-handedly developed and maintained a fantastic online database of Bosses and harvesting information. To his credit, he alone did what no other Ryzom guild has been able to duplicate. I used to occasionally go with DT on what he called “science trips” to find bosses and other various Atys info. I loved hanging out with DT and didn’t understand why so many people were warning me about him. He was always a doll to me and fun to be with. DT also offered multiple times to be my “heal Biotch” so I could develop ele. He was generous with his time and ALWAYS nice.

I didn’t understand until I was in guild what the problem was.

Once in guild, I was “owned” and my behaviour had to be 100% guildocentric (play with guild members only – not Loomas’s rule as leader, but DT’s unwritten policy) ….which I violated…. and that caused me to become target of some of the nastiest verbal abuse I have ever had. (and I’ve been married twice, so that says something) 80% of my playing time on guild stuff was not enough – it had to be 100%. I think there is only 1 of the 10’ish active members who had any (very occasional) outside of guild activities. No one likes to be a pincushion and worse when it is unwarranted, unfair and during recreational time! All of Melinoe know this and they are really great people, but they choose to tolerate the abuse, which is weird to me. The Melinoe anthem of “ignore DT” just isn’t right when it is degrading, embarrassing, distressing AND most importantly, a violation of Ryzom rules.

I dont mean to mislead and sound like the problem was only in guild, as there were also unprovoked attacks on non-guild people in region chat, but I don't want to go into the stories here. I don't need to prove my point with tales and screenshots of what happened. (though I do have many) Most people know anyhow from events of the past, from other ex-Melinoe members or read his random attacks on players in region chat. My stories will sound the same as theirs. But…………..The problem is here, this isn’t a guild CoC violation alone, it is a Ryzom game violation. Short of dragging agro, DT has behaved no better than Infinity, and that’s why this subject isn’t hijacked, its relevant.

And Loomas, the irony I was pointing out was….2 times in the last 2 weeks I was in Melinoe, you said yourself that you “almost demoted DT from HO” and “almost kicked him from guild”
**Almost** being the key word. As the GM’s may have **Almost** considered punishing Infinity. Are you without sin to be casting stones?

Melinoe says “ignore DT.”
Maybe Ryzom says ignore Infinity?

Excellent advice! We ask for action from the GM's and should live by example.
