With all due respect... are you always this negative?

When that time period is up its markets will be full of high level equipment from established players on other shards, making its own inhabitants endeavours if not worthless then much less valued.
If it's OK for Arispotle to transfer to Aniro, at what point is Cho able to "stand on it's own" and be allowed to trade with us? If never, then why is it OK to trade with Aniro? I'm not saying "a couple of months" is written in stone, but at some point, the inhabitants of Cho should be allowed the same rights as any other server to trade.
Or we just kill the whole inter-server trade notion. I'm not against that but it also hurts inter-server Ring scenarios because you can't give rewards except to those that are on the same server as you. Doesn't kill the notion, but wounds it a bit.

Maybe it isn't, afterall? At least that's what I (think I) heared before we got to know anything about Cho. Let's just wait and see how our Gods in Paris decide...
The scenario reward system could ofc be saved by depositing the rewards in advance and kinda limited and tied to the scenario's levelrange as well. Which would also be exploit-ready by invitation-only scenarios... but hey, I'm not a dev to deal with that
*keeps fingers crossed*

There are many factors we haven't considered by us, or divulged by Nevrax, which could warrant another server added to the mix. We don't know what marketing efforts (if any) are planned, we don't know how big of an impact on server population R² will have, etc etc.
We know that Cho has been delayed to evaluate the impact various concerns addressed by the players will have on existing servers as well as Cho, such as scenario smuggling and harvesting resource locations.
I am hoping that Nevrax will be pushing a decent marketing campaign for R² to drive subscription rates up and flesh out the server populations a bit, and with the addition of a new server, if things get out of hand with an influx of subscribers, they'll be able to handle it without lagging all of Atys across the existing 3 universes.
I see the addition of the 4th server as a good thing, so long as the population of Arispotle doesn't dwindle as a result. I am also relatively certain, in my own personal view, that we are in for a variety of changes over the next few months.

This is what I'm talking about...

How is this fair to the minority faction on another server for the majority faction of that server to seek supplies here? I don't care what faction is a majority or not, but to seek resources from another server when you've got a choke hold over existing resources, is outrageous.
At this point, I would be happy to see interserver scenario access completely cut off until interserver smuggling is removed completely.
I would hate to see this sort of thing happening in the reverse on Arispotle, regardless of which faction was taking advantage of it.

Phew ...
I'm glad to see that Nevrax has taken all this into consideration before launching Cho. The cross-server trading could have proven quite troublesome to Cho's economy. It doesn't seem like they simply waiting to hotfix something (like Ring trading) before launching Cho either.

Sounds like they don't plan to open it anytime soon now. Perhaps they are going to keep it offline until a possible need arises for it? I'm not sure, but it does make me a little sad, as I was kind of hoping to start anew on Cho.
Perhaps I'll just wait till they decide to open it (if at all) before progressing my character any further. I'm still in Silan so it's not like it'll cost me anything either way.

Yes, I share your feelings. My account is running out on the 5th of October, and the only reason to subscribe longer would be to play on Cho for me. So, I am going to make me a free trial account, hang around there every now and then. I'll wait and see and check out some other games in the meanwhile. It's indeed a bit sad as I was really looking forward to start on a fresh game world. On the other hand, they really should take care of the overall health of their game. I am sure they'll do what's best for their baby.
See you around.

Doesn't your own argument undercut itself? I read the Leanon request as a request by a Kami for help because the Kara had the resources too dominated:
I'm from Leanon, where the Outposts are not so well divided (90% for the karas, yeah), and therefore we have some needs:
Did I read this wrong? If it's the majority faction requesting more resources, that would be a bit unnecessary since they already control the resouces. If it's the minority faction requesting aid, wouldn't the existence of inter-server trading allow for another shard to help fix the imbalance?

The avatar for the poster shows a bunch of Karavan symbols floating around... location is also listed as Yrkanis. Looked Kara to me, but could be a spy
The thing of it is... faction aside... the ability to trade with an alternate universe seems cheesy to me, aside from potentially damaging.
I would much rather see a server balance itself out without the political agendas of another server getting involved.
