Hmm, I was under the impression (from back when the finanical problems were first announced). That the game was now making a day-to-day profit. In other words, the income from player subscriptions was sufficient to pay the staff/devs/upkeep of the servers / their yubo power sources etc.sx4rlet wrote:True, but if you let the failed game run until, or even after you launch your fresh start, you even get some cash in while developping your new start.
(unless your figures say that keeping it going is more expensive then killing it when you get it...)
However there was not enough funds to service the interest/repayments on the debt that Nevrax had taken out to develop the game. If this is the case, it would be a bit silly to cut-off a profitable game, whilst developing a replacement
(Someone posted earlier in the thread about Eurotunnel, they are in exactly the same position, the company has billions of pounds of debts, but only make a small 'working' profit, which is not enough to keep up with the repayments).
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the whole team will be re-employed (Devs/GMs/CSRs etc) by the new owners.
