Just to give you guys an idea about how we deal with such situations internally:

We have a zero tolerance policy against any type of cheats and cheaters in Saga Of Ryzom. That of course includes users of so-called "bot" tools and other unauthorized 3rd party tools, intended to gain an unfair advantage over other fellow players.


The relevant clause in the CoC is clear and simple. While we deal with each violation on a case-by-case basis, I think it's safe to say that if you cheat in Ryzom and get caught, be sure to have your bags packed.

The last week I have lost my two best friends here in atys, and right now i honestly don't see any point in why i should continue playing either....

i went in klients told a gm i was about to start botting, where i was gonna bot, he came and watch me harvest badly for 15 mins, and sent me about 12 /tells, i kept prospecting/digging, in the end he stunned me, teleported me to a few places, ended up in lake superior,i continued to hit actions, he continue to watch. about 30 minutes later he went, so i logged. Today i ask what my punishment is, and guess what, i have none, free to log in.

1) You think just because you can't see them they're not watching?
2) You said you were going to do it; therefore you were obviously "testing them" and were not a "true" botter who wouldn't have given a warning
3) You stopped. "True" botters are unlikely to stop doing something once they have started.
4) Were you actually botting? Or were you pretending to bot to see what their reaction was? Sorry but begging someone to punish you is like a child asking their parents to spank them; imo its generally unlikely to get more than a wry grin.

HELLO!!!!! here are some things to consider as it seems you havent.
1) they didnt take you seriously because you went to klients and said this
2) they realised you werent botting
3) they have some kind of procedure which involves investigating what was going on rather than instantly slapping a ban on you.

Thats not my point m8...
I know the gm's can go invisible if they want...but earlier occations were we had them to come watch in invisible mode, cause of conflicts, resulted in nothing....No balls to do something with the problem....

I'm not talking for scar, but telling someone that "i'm botting" could also be the use of reverse psychology....Pretend to bot, get tp'ed...do it again..get tp'ed and then bot for real...
Imo, any acting that looks like, or is for that sake...botting or something like that should be given a much harder penalty than what mentioned...

After this thread was put on the forums, i guess everybody in the community that read these forums got the point and the general opinion of the rest of us. Why dont the gm's start putting out examples...real punishment in some way...
If they gonna act like this every time i bet a lot of ppl will try using 3rd pary softwares to get their levels higher...cause there aint no risk of loosing anything...
