I'd never played a mmorpg before so I'm like the proper new kid at school. I'm getting there though and enjoying the ride that goes along with it.

What is the abbreviate mostly used for the game. I was meaning to say sor as some people I've seen say it. Is it Ryzom or there may not be one. Any info so I don't look like a complete eeejit would be appreciated.

My name is grandma and I am a programmer/twinkie tech. The languages I use are C++, Javascript, php, ActionScript, Visual Basic, and some BASH scripting. My character name is Gfunk and I am a proud RyZombie!

I have been around since before some of the GMs (I counted down the days for beta to release), I also play this game in linux (the other operating system). I'm a prominent bug reporter (about 5 fully detailed bug reports a day or so) and I try to be as outgoing and friendly as I can to all members of the community.

I have intricate knowledge of the game's mechanics and am more than willing to help someone if they don't understand a certain feature or why something works or doesn't.

Many of you may know me from our public events my guild holds, or from a massive player trip or two. I'm usually the one shouting orders, hehe.

My personal FAQ:
- Are you Gfunk from...(red vs blue, some other reference)?
A. Does it matter if I was or wasn't? :0P

- What does Vx3, Veni Vidi Vici mean?
A. Veni Vidi Vici is a famous Julius Caesar quote meaning "I came. I saw. I conquered." It is the name of our guild which is named after the LAN party I run that houses 70 players. Our guild is a Ryzom only guild that has been around since Beta 1.

- Am I too low level to join your guild?
A. We are an open, fun, and social guild. We do not have commitments, obligations, or requirements for players to join us. We openly accept newbies and veteran players.

- How come I messaged you, ran by you, saw you in town/wilderness and said "hi" but you didn't respond?
A. I never log out. If you send me a /tell I always try to return your message when I get back on.

- Why is your name "grandma" but you are a guy? What's your deal?
A. That question is the very reason I call myself grandma, I get a chuckle every time I hear it. Keep in mind I do run a LAN party so I like hearing "I want GRANDMA on my team!" or "You just got owned by GRANDMA, dude!". I also get a chuckle when people first meet me at LAN parties and wonder "Why is everyone calling that guy grandma?" Plus just the thought of a grandma playing computer games does sound a bit humorous does it not? Just my sense of humor.

A. OF COURSE NOT! (Unless it's good :0P)

Tim: It is.

yy48n19: And what do you do there?

Tim: I mostly spend my time in region chat. Sometimes I make sap crystals or weapon enchantments and give them to people. I'm an Enchantress. I enchant things.

Chirzell: I need some good enchantments. Make me some.

yy48n19: Tim, do you find that the sap crystal business is a profitable one?

Tim: No. And it's not business. I give people stuff, so it's more of a service.

Chirzell: You give because you're weak. Now, give me your best enchantments!

Tim: *glares icily at Chizrell*

yy48n19: Ignore him, Tim. He's mean.

Mellodi: That's because he's Matis.

yy48n19: *turns to Mellodi* You bring up something I would like to touch on, Mellodi. You have an intense dislike for the Matis. Care to tell us about that?

Mellodi: They are the scum of Atys with hearts of goo. That's all I have to say about that.

Chirzell: *greedily devours banana*

Chirzell: Of my people? *scowls* No, they're all idiots.
