Except that on ATS, neutrals can't by a ticket from the FG Karavan TP either. Now, granted, that might just be bugged. I dunno.
(the rest of this post isn't aimed at you, Noin; I'm just using your comment about the FG TP as a starting point, so don't think that I expect you to have all these answers)
This brings me to my real concern: The lack of information. With a change this major and a controversy that's got a lot of people upset, it would seem to me the best way to settle things down would be for Nevrax to publish a detailed list of their plans.
I know they don't like to "spoil the surprise", but it seems to me it's already spoiled by all the ill feelings about this. So, c'mon Nevrax, time to chime in here. Give us a list of the TP's (both active and inactive) and the basic plan. Something like this:
(just an example)
Yrkanis - Kami/Karavan TP's - available to all
Fleeting Garden Karavan - Karavan only
Heretic Hovel Karavan - Karavan only by accomplishing a rite
Another area we don't have enough knowledge: When they activate some of the inactive TP's to make up for the fact that we can't use opposing faction TP's, what will a Karavaner have to do to use that TP? Is it available just by being committed to the faction or is it only available after some rite or mission has been accomplished (no, I don't want details of the mission, just that there is one)
And then there's the Spire issue. Once a Spire is taken by a given faction, that will do what exactly? Turn off all of the opposing faction TP's in that "region"? Is it "region" as we know it or does a Spire cover multiple regions?
Another area that we don't really have much info on is Citizationship. If I choose to commit myself to the Tryker alliance, what do I gain (in general). If I choose to remain neutral on that question, but commit myself to the Karavan, what do I lose? TP's aren't controlled by the Civs, so it's not that.
I'm asking for this so that people can begin to see how they'll be able to function in this new Atys so they don't lose hope completely.
To make this more personal, I'll relate it to myself. At present, I'm a sometimes digger in Enchanted Isle. Assuming I follow my guild and commit to the Karavan, that'll become a lot harder because the run from the Karavan TP to the main safe digging area is a bit hazardous. Not impossible with Speed, but not as easy as the Kami TP. (ironic that the Kami will have easier access to that particular Tryker land, but that's a side issue)
Now, if I know that the TP in Heretic's Hovel near the portal will be activated as part of these changes and I don't have to do anything or I have do a reasonable mission or rite, then I can plan to switch to that zone for digging even though I'm not up to level 200 quite yet.
I'm also asking as a guild officer. I would like more solid info to help my guild members prepare for these changes.
