marct wrote:I read Neutrals will not have TP access to regions that are 200+ lvl as being the following regions

Scorched Corridor
Void
Lagoons of Loria
Grove of Confusion.

These regions start at lvl 200 and go to lvl 250 except for the few bosses. Many of you are considerg that regions which are 150-200 are also excluded.

I 'm afraid that, according to what I read in ATS, french and this forum, you are wrong here. Those ones are the lvl 250 regions ( a lvl 250 region goes "up to" 250). A lvl 200 region goes "up to" 200.

marjo wrote:- Attention, dans les zones en-dessous de 200, seuls certains TP (indépendamment de la faction qui le possède) seront disponibles pour les neutres, pas tous.
Les zones 200 et 250 n'offriront pas de TP aux neutres.

Note they stated 2 types of regions 200 and 250. If only the 4 ones were not to be used they would have said "250 regions" (right now, only 1 is active, GoC, so no apparent big loss for neutrals) For regions under 200 (e.g. a 150 region, mobs from 100 to 150) some TPs will be accesible, but netrauls won't have access to 200 *and* 250 regions (so more than the ones you just stated): no dyron, no thesos, no bog, etc... (at least that's what a lot of players have understood, and explains the uproar).

hope this helps,

I'm gonna agree with anissa here... I think most people consider a "200 zone" to be a Red colour zone, where mats go up to q200 (eg Dunes of Exile/Dyron) and a "250 zone" to be a Purple zone, where mats go up to q250 (eg GoC)

Maybe they could say all RED and all PURPLE zones to make it clear then. Sorry to confuse with my earlier statments.

Although except fot PR I still do not see this as a major loss. Everyone uses the FG tp to get to bog today anyways, and I am sure there are nearby teleporters to the regions any neutral would wish to get to barring PR.

In fact, the lack of TPs will make people travel by foot! O_O Imagine that. people traveling by foot. Granted it would be even nicer with 4 times the population, but you need to start somewhere.

exactly the point, nobody is being forbidden to go somewhere or barred from entry, they will only have to take longer ways.

why not give us TP names and note who can use them and what fame (if any) you need. THAT would clear this up (and helps to actually test this ;-)

Although except fot PR I still do not see this as a major loss. Everyone uses the FG tp to get to bog today anyways, and I am sure there are nearby teleporters to the regions any neutral would wish to get to barring PR.

khmm... if you dont know what you talking about, then choose your words more carefully ;-) (everyone)
it's far easyer to use kara tp if you foraging far south in bog.. and even around kara tp has safe spots ;-)

In fact, the lack of TPs will make people travel by foot! O_O Imagine that. people traveling by foot.

not everybody like to spend half the gaming time travelling from point A to point B.
Neutrals have to, they dont have any choice, even in their homeland, they cant access to q200/q250 zones directly (based on current info)
to force them to level in other land is not an option (forage/craft for starters)

Except that on ATS, neutrals can't by a ticket from the FG Karavan TP either. Now, granted, that might just be bugged. I dunno.

(the rest of this post isn't aimed at you, Noin; I'm just using your comment about the FG TP as a starting point, so don't think that I expect you to have all these answers)

This brings me to my real concern: The lack of information. With a change this major and a controversy that's got a lot of people upset, it would seem to me the best way to settle things down would be for Nevrax to publish a detailed list of their plans.

I know they don't like to "spoil the surprise", but it seems to me it's already spoiled by all the ill feelings about this. So, c'mon Nevrax, time to chime in here. Give us a list of the TP's (both active and inactive) and the basic plan. Something like this:

(just an example)
Yrkanis - Kami/Karavan TP's - available to all
Fleeting Garden Karavan - Karavan only
Heretic Hovel Karavan - Karavan only by accomplishing a rite

Another area we don't have enough knowledge: When they activate some of the inactive TP's to make up for the fact that we can't use opposing faction TP's, what will a Karavaner have to do to use that TP? Is it available just by being committed to the faction or is it only available after some rite or mission has been accomplished (no, I don't want details of the mission, just that there is one)

And then there's the Spire issue. Once a Spire is taken by a given faction, that will do what exactly? Turn off all of the opposing faction TP's in that "region"? Is it "region" as we know it or does a Spire cover multiple regions?

Another area that we don't really have much info on is Citizationship. If I choose to commit myself to the Tryker alliance, what do I gain (in general). If I choose to remain neutral on that question, but commit myself to the Karavan, what do I lose? TP's aren't controlled by the Civs, so it's not that.

I'm asking for this so that people can begin to see how they'll be able to function in this new Atys so they don't lose hope completely.

To make this more personal, I'll relate it to myself. At present, I'm a sometimes digger in Enchanted Isle. Assuming I follow my guild and commit to the Karavan, that'll become a lot harder because the run from the Karavan TP to the main safe digging area is a bit hazardous. Not impossible with Speed, but not as easy as the Kami TP. (ironic that the Kami will have easier access to that particular Tryker land, but that's a side issue)

Now, if I know that the TP in Heretic's Hovel near the portal will be activated as part of these changes and I don't have to do anything or I have do a reasonable mission or rite, then I can plan to switch to that zone for digging even though I'm not up to level 200 quite yet.

I'm also asking as a guild officer. I would like more solid info to help my guild members prepare for these changes.

Not to detract from your overall point, but since the shalahs got stronger in a patch some months ago, this run in Enchanted Isle has become much much easier. I have jogged a dozen times recently without being attacked. So Karavaneer diggers should be fine in EI unless Kamists erect a spire there.

I agree with most of your point OudKnoei, we most certainly could do with some clear answers from Nevrax. Going on past experience though, I doubt it will be forthcoming. :(

As I understand it, a spire covers one of the areas on your map bounded by dashed lines. Correct me if I'm wrong someone. :)

I'd also like to know what happens to the tickets I already have? Do they stop working? Can I use them but not replace them? If they don't work can I have my dapper back? :p

Soooo many unanswered questions.... :(

On the ATS you can use a ticket to a TP that you will not be able to buy another ticket from once you get there.

I am unsure if this is the end intended functionality, and one would think that with the spires, this would not be so, but that you could not use the ticket at all.

I would prefer that I could not use the ticket rather than use it and not be able to buy a ticket to get back there.

From this one example, it does appear that there is one spire per region (as we normally refer to regions).

@Nevrax: Will that be a consistent implementation across all lands? If not, can you document for us how the spires will be implemented?

Again, I understand the desire not to spoil the story, but if you lose a lot of players due to the FUD factor (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt), maybe it would have been better to spoil the story a bit.
