Thom was calling for those who would like to PvP to leave out those who do not wish to, which is exactly what Kye did and pledged to do. That may have turned into an argument because of their mutual distrust, but it was Basic and some others who decided to take this misunderstanding to their advantage, single out ON and subsequently declare war, for purposes that perhaps only they will ever comprehend.

Basic, I caution you to think twice before committing yourself and those under you to a war so lightly and in the name of something that shouldn't have concerned you. There will always be a subset of players who can reason through the confusion you are trying to cast as you try to twist the reality to serve your motives.

Basic, here's the thing - I recognize your right to rattle your sabre at us, but from what I know of you, and DT for that matter, I don't think of you in the same category as Lockheart, Kye, Electrometrix, et. al. You may go to battle for reasons I don't agree with - but I recognize you go to battle for *some* sort of rationale beyond "I'm bored, I think I'll go make someone else miserable."

So, even though you may see yourself alligned with that sort - I don't. It's your option to dislike me and/or hunt me and my guildmates down if you think you're justified (there would be consequences, of course, but I've no doubt you could eventually find your prey vulnerable to a PK if you persisted)... but for now, despite our disagreements, I have seen no reason to put either you or DT into the tiny minority category of "griefers." And hopefully I never will.

I just got sick of hearing you whine sorry :D If you talk smack and enter a PvP zone what do ya thinks gonna happen? But hay stay out and we will never meet untill outposts or untill yourselfs just stop preaching and start having some fun. And again why try to twist things you know you are greatly outnumbered so that in its self shows you who sees through who. And yes alot of people do not post in these forums at all but its silly to try and guess what they think. There to busy playing the game n having fun.
I'm not just singling out ON to meet my own means as you may say but doing what i feal needs to be done. Some people whine about getting killed in a PvP zone , myself im like "woot theres no patrols here" digging or playing in a PvP zone and and then trying to flame someone over you getting killed there IMO is you trying to explote of the system since they made it easyer to be in those zones so there would be conflict.
In not seen anyone flame a Kitin patrol on the forum when they get killed

She was getting a freaking ticket... they can do it, BUT she has the right to post it! Dumb ass censorship is not the way to go for a clean community believe me.

Dude, you're making all sorts of assumptions... This doesn't affect me, personally, because I don't dig PR. I'm a jeweler, I dig the snot out of FF for my 250q mats.

So... whining? Um, no, try again. Rather, I'm speaking up *on behalf of* the people who *do* get ganked by the griefers.

Question for you, Basic... you seem to be ready to speak for *all* of OmegaV when it comes to matters of war and peace... Do you speak for all of them when it comes to pro/con mindless griefing, too?

Enlightening enough that Basic should compare himself to a kitin :o

So the game continues to be fun and inviting for the majority of the populas who does not enjoy ganking and greifing. The rest of you post is based on that flawed initial statement so i will not reply to it.

If a game gets down to the point where nobody trusts anyone else, and we're all on our guard waiting to be attacked.... .well, like someone said earlier. Go play Lineage 2. Ryzom has PvP, and PvP can be good. (When both parites involved are up for it.) But griefing and ganking is what it looks to be leading to.

Flawed? It's true.

I dislike ganking and griefing as much as the next person, believe that. However, if it's a PvP zone you should be on your guard. Regardless of who is down there. It's the nature of the type of area it is. Just like if you're running through an area with aggro...you're on your guard. Doesn't matter if you want to fight and are just traveling through/digging/sightseeing, you may have to fight. I can't for the life of me get why you feel it is such a horrible thing to have to watch your back in an area where it is clearly stated that you can be attacked. If you get attacked fight back. If you win, you just taught the person not to mess with you. If you lose come back with friends, drive the offenders out. There is no policing system in this game so you have to handle these types of issues in your own manner. How you go about that is your choice. You still have to realize it's a part of the game and and like it or not you have to deal with it.

Now to the people doing the killing, a question...Why go down there and kill? If you are bored, I assume you are looking for some sort of challenge other than killing monsters repeatedly. A simple announcement of your presence in the zone (not necessarily when you're about to attack) may bring you the challenge you await. Maybe in the form of 5-6 people after your head, but hey...you started it.
