As for sups, you either give them to whoever is prepared to sit for hours in the middle of the night by a spot waiting for weather (old style) or give them to a team (or two teams) of people that fight their way through to get there first (current style).

Personally I think the latter sounds more fun.

I love PR, I've been digging there since I started playing pretty much. I haven't achieved a great deal of levels in this time - solo digging in PR without any support from guilds or anyone that has done it before is hard. Especially if you don't have any other dig skill from which to draw on.

I'm now having some significant difficulty digging productively - one death means ~ one and a half bags of mats to work off the DP, which is a lot of time below level 200. And the KPs kill me quite a lot.
But it was far to safe before, and I never enjoyed the solo/duo sup camping. I much prefer the idea that you need a team to dig the sups, and to level you have to be really careful, all the time, and you have to make a lot of compromises about what and where you dig.

Supreme should equal rare, which it just doesn't now. When was the last time you saw someone digging in Nexus for sups? Rarely happens becuase three is no demand. When people can't be bothered to dig ql200 sups something is badly wrong with the game.

Also, you just don't need sups outside of level 250 PvP (and even then it's debatable). You can make gear that's good enough with excellent quality materials. Sure the recipies aren't quite as easy, and you have to make a few more difficult choices to get what you want - but this makes crafting much more interesting too.

Please leave the patrols as they are.

Why won't just developers make more like normal aggro radius for kipesta (not more than 2x), BUT make their routes random so they eventualy visit any and every part of pr and noone knows when and where?

That makes more sence imho, also with kitin patrols moving along and through safe spots it can make challange to avoid them anyway and also more "fun" cause avoidance is possible but challenging? But teaming up will be more lucrative (as it should be in mmmorpg, ucan solo but u better in team)?

no?

I think the way ryzom is build in its idea is more agains preset static times/spawns/routes :)

I wonder why no one mentioned the 2-3 Uber-Kinchers per portal... bring them back too?

imo the game needs something like KP, after all prime roots is supposed to be their home. We are the invading force down there not them. but hey what do i know ;)

Actually, the lore contradicts somewhat on the Prime Roots.

Where did the Fyros find the kitin nest? Prime Roots

Where did the homins escape to safety during the nearly 3 years of the Kitin War? Prime Roots

Clearly, not all root areas are kitin hives or there would have been no safety at all during those years. Either the founders of the new lands were idiots and moved from those kitin free areas to where we now are OR (my preferred thinking) the kitin have migrated into the area as they continue to try and eradicate all homins.

Here's an interesting question for you: Why do the Karavan teach that it is forbidden to enter the Prime Roots? There are things down there that they don't want homins to *see*. It is the scenery in the Prime Roots which hold the most tantalizing clues about Atys' history. Most homins focus so much on staying alive or digging mats or killing critters that they miss what is actually right before their eyes.

Makes one wonder why there are so many Karavan to be found in PR.

Aye, that has been a puzzlement to me as well. It would seem that they have relaxed their stance somewhat:
The Prophecy wrote:[T]he Karavan are watching out to make sure that the faithful do not venture into the deeper layers of Atys. To descend into the bowels of the planet is to approach the Dragon, whose sleep is tormented by terrifying dreams. These shadowy dreams can push the light of Jena away from the hearts of homins, and devour their souls. Nevertheless, the Karavan still permit their followers to go down into the upper levels of the Prime Roots if there is a valid reason for going there.
