Funny story ...
Almost a year ago, January 23rd (yeah I'm nuts, wrote down the exact time of it

) I managed to finish my first complete set. All materials were suplied by the customer, totalling a bit more than 6000 materials, work of months and months gathering them. Practically all materials were used up in one massive supreme crafting session in less than an hour and a half, focussing on one part till it boosted then moving on to the next one. I hadn't heard of any fully boosted sets so figured I might have made the first, or at least on the server. If anyone beat me to it, feel free to name yourself as it's still a feat in my eyes.
Shortly after more nutters came to me proposing to supply me with as many materials as they could. Two gave up after 5 weeks and no single boost had been made. A third persisted and it took 6 months of delivering materials, crafting to get the set done. 5 of the parts boosted within the first 2 months, the last part only 4 months after. I have no clue exactly how many materials went in the creation of that set. We stopped believing we'd ever get that last part in the end.
Just for the sake of it and as apreciation for my time I was handed the leftover materials, about 130 or so. I joked on getting a boost now as it would prove how much bad luck we had with the previous set. It boosted on first attempt ... It was hilarious. Since the customer had a set now and the materials were donated I was left to decide wath to do with the rest. So I attempted a second part. Surely it boosted once more.
All in all, my third set took 13 crafts of which 5 degrades. During the crafting we both laughed and wept, it was surreal to have such luck after all the trouble with the set before. Someone even promissed to kiss Riveit if we made a fourth part boost. (to bad you were afk at the stables Riv, so we just put trouts down your pants instead

) Probably one of my best memories i'll ever have to Ryzom, as a player but most importantly as a crafter.
Since then i've been working on two seperate sets, whenever I got supreme materials as payment or managed to hit the supernodes. Both are 50% done.
Before, boosted parts always went to the suplier. I know many would call it dumb, I call it a matter of trust. I never kept track of individually boosted pieces but i'm sure there's a fair amount of them out there with my name on it. But ever since the third set I have always asked permission to keep the piece if it boosted, reimbursing the materials; and surprisingly many did not object. Maybe some day i'll manage to get these two little treasures done. Hopefully I've still got the luck of the last set lingering in my fingers.
The trick to it all is imo to craft sets till you boost a piece. Then move on to the next set but change tools on the already acquaiered(sp? can't seem to remember) pieces. You'll have full sets to donate or sell and won't be stuck with several boosted helmets or pants. Ofcourse it's a lousy trick, but less wastefull than wasting sups on a grind for just one set.
I'm sure there's lots of myths and legends by now on how to 'trick' the tool.
(And don't anyone come asking who is holding those sets; unless they go public with it themselves i'm still tied to keep their identity secret. Thanks a lot to all of you for your trust, your kindness and allowing me to experiment and fashion you the 'best' sets on Atys.)
