So current strategies, and their outcome, have failed to satisfy the creditors. Which suggests that radical change is inevitable. I'm confident that the SOE model for such change (I'm thinking of SWG) is entirely inappropriate, and plain for all to see. Leading me to see two likely outcomes -
1) massive investment from a party to continue Nevrax' vision of the future of Ryzom, with faster deployment to continue to boost subscriptions uptake; or
2) a salvage party which scraps Ryzom and picks out the innovative and creative assets of Nevrax, setting out to produce another next-generation game to beat all competition to the flag.
Both could be great for us all in general, but the second involves far more risk than the first, a long period with little or no income, in the expectation of long-term gains with tremendous potential.
I think I'd prefer 1, but I'm not sure, really
And what do I know, anyway?

Hm... when you had fun "grinding" then it wasn't useless - remeber: the way is the goal.
So don't be mad about boring useless grind - you decide how you play ryzom!
You can actually grind in any game in the world to become better... even chess... it is always you who decides whats your experience is like. All that counts is how much fun you had while getting where you thought you wanted to get

We emphasize again that the game will continue to run and be supported as this is not the beginning of the end - just the end of the beginning.
Let's hope . . .

Random thing to think about in the aftermath:
What happens to future PvP events on RoS when some dude who keeps his avatar on the island which has been slowly grinded to level 100 or 150 during the 'transition' period and all the new-newcomers are like 20.
