I think they should at least make Cho a pvp server... EITHER kami or kara... /flameresistanttrykerheavyarmorequip.....
pfft wouldnt be a problem if you did your job n healed me enough , I play a vital role of punchbag throughoutd29565 wrote:On a different note, I say we ship Jackoba off so he doesn't keep making us lose OP battles, it is him that they Target after all
I don't think he was either. I remember seeing reports (although I forget exactly where) showing that different gamestyles tended to sell better in different regions. It was First Person Shooters for the US and Real Time Stratigy for Europe and a very vague decription for Japan . That of course doesn't meant FPS and RTS games don't sell or appeal in both of USA an Europe as they clearly do, but it is a noticible trend in sales in those regions all the same.d29565 wrote:I dont believe Jyudus was being xenophopic in the least.

before merge, DCP and AoA did a lot of PvP in PR as well.
Lot of Europeans do PvP as well..
Not to mention it's not about who's more negative in the stance of if your american you are more negative then european, it's stated in the realist stance in that at the moment due to server population split between the continents that there are phsyically more pvpers on the american side. And although I don't think its a good idea if Jyudas idea was to be put into affect it would help to balance out and make pvp more fair and interesting.johntf wrote:Personally I think the only reason that pvp is more us time zone orientated is that there's more american players than euro ones
I share these feelings as well, as stated in previous posts. Unreasonable, maybe, but I can understand "older players" feeling left aside, "thanks guys, now that the thing seems to be in better shape, let's start over. We got plenty of things to offer specially to new players, let's also market it like a brand new shard". Probably it's not like this, justifying with the oh!so-praised Kitin Lair, which for the time being remains vaporware, but then, what was the reasoning behind this?"johntf wrote:I
Either way I worry about what it may do to our population and server, I worry that the old are brushed aside for the new when their usefuless has worn out and they seem to pose a threat to the newer players (only to the ignorant and blind but never the less ive seen this situation be realised many times in many situations). MY only hope is that since server popualtion is not listed and most people don't read forums before making a character there will be a 50/50 ish chance of new blood coming in quite regulary to this server.
Personally I really hope it doesn't turn out like that I do >.<
Fair point about it being a niche game and that is bound to have an effect but you know nonone called USA players more aggressive untill you just did. The closest I saw was that maybe USE players like PvPer more but being a PvPer and being agressive don't automatically go hand in handdanolt wrote:Ryzom is certainly a niche game. That means it appeals to a certain group of people. The advertisements used to get players in Europe and in NA are the same, the strategy was the same, their target audience was the same.
No amount of grad school, coffee house logic can explain away that we are all the same basic demographic. We all choose to play this extremely hard to find MMO.
I'll sum it up with one question.
Are American chess players more aggressive then Europeans?
