There is a distinct difference between my faction and the members of my faction. I agree with my faction. I won't be a member of it, if I would disagree with my faction. But I disagree with many members of my faction.
Since other players already started to use reallife example, in christianity there are several religious denominations, they all pray to the same god, and are christians.

lol. When will we learn that announcing OP battles inevitably leads to threads of 10+ pages like this?

hmmm hey guys ... just gonna say my view on this right quick :p

First off ... I agree with the different levels of extremest ... And for all those that wonder ... If a kara guild was under attack that was my friends I would help them ... I don't care what anyone says ... I agree with what Jy. says ...

I put friends over faction ...but if my friends do something I don't believe in I wont help them .. I fight for what I believe in not what the other members in my faction believe in ...
you can not tell someone what they "Have" to do to be a karavan ..(or kami). They have there own views and can follow them ...

Wow...this is still a debate..no hard feelings and no reason to get sore....
Here's a novel concept.
It's an RPG.
You don't _have_ to do what you're 'told' to do. Just because the setup tells you to war, doesn't mean you have to any more than because the lore says your race is one faction or another means you have to be.

Isnst that why they allow you to refuse guilds?
It's not a binary black/white choice.

We COULD all say 'stuff the war', occupy the outposts and share their bounty as needed, regardless of faction and reject both Kami and Karavan unifying to drive the scum (both technical and spiritual) out of the lands.

If we wanted to.
We could, but then most of use (as PROVEN at op battles) would probably be playing other games.
You don't HAVE to play out your _assigned_ roles, it's not a scripted acting part.
as I said, I and many others have multiracial guilds.....wow, they made their choice.
The 'purpose of the game' is to enjoy it, for as many as possible to derive the maximum enjoyment from it. That's been the problem with all this PvP linked content, some people having fun some of the time.

To the escape pods! (R2).
theres a simpler way to put it...and it has been said time and time again. if you dont enjoy something, dotn participate...including PvP battles....the game never changed, it was just added to.
Someone might follow the Karavan but might still be friends with Kami.
seems the only people with a problem with that is you...as I've said before, I know pretty much everyone and am friends with everyone. been here just as long, you dont like it...not my fault.
I like to roleplay, I built my character up through the way the game was presented, the lore and what occurred from the start of play.
guess what, game has changed...time to change with it...

now i see alot of posts since i started...so we will call this chapter one.

just a quick Q ... Why are you all still arguing(debating whatever) about it ? Really .... It doesn't matter people will follow there own beliefs no matter what any of us say :p so lets just play the game and have fun :) be glad some karavan are helping kami . because otherwise OP battles are just boring one sided fights...

Someone said to me one day "Kara only want to win they don't care about fun" Prove them wrong for me :)

P.S. let me rephrase ... YOU guys just play the game ... I can't till my DSL is fixed :p

Untrue. The initial setup was one of recovery, of rebuilding civilisation, of cooperation and exploration. The factions were very much an underlying rather than an overt theme.

The game has changed, IMO in a somewhat misguided popularity/recovery bid but, as we can see, R2 seems to be making a bigger and more appealing splash while PvP divided and drove a lot of core people away. No use crying over spily milk, but that's how it is - even some lore appears to have been rewritten and OPs aren't at all how they were presented.

Indeed you contradict this statement later by saying the game HAS changed. Which is it?

seems the only people with a problem with that is you...as I've said before, I know pretty much everyone and am friends with everyone. been here just as long, you dont like it...not my fault.

But it is, at least partially. Ever read up on this?

guess what, game has changed...time to change with it...

Or not, the game belongs to all of us. Time to change the game.
