Yeah...Heavyn ..you are right ...but I think we can have more fun with OPs if we make our own alliances that way not one side will become to powerful.Tho you are correct they are kami vs Kara according to loading screen...I just hate not being able to help someone because they are Kara.
Eitherway tho I think it will work out in the end I have faith in this comunity even if we annoy eachother at times ..Thats only natural..ATM I kinda like the way OPs are going even tho Kami are not doing the greatest atm...Hopefully the kami will build back up ...But iv seen kami help Kara and kara help kami this is evening out the fights and making it more fun IMO.
I simply do not believe there is enough kami players atm to hold
FvF up..look at the
guilds list if you dont agree maybe after you look you will change your mind...

lexi44 wrote:Well hon, if the KA doesn't have a position, maybe that's part of the problem. You see, because there are a number of guilds holding this "title" together (member of the Karavan Alliance) then whether it was intended or not, all guilds in that alliance are considered as one entity.
And the KA acts the same way with others. If just ONE Samsara (for example) shows up to a battle, I've heard those in the KA say things like "ooooh looks like Samsara has chosen a side". Well, you can't have it both ways. You (collectively, not "you" personally) can't treat the actions of one person as if they were part of a bigger entity, but then expect others to treat the actions of individuals in the KA as if they were only "one person's actions".
Don't you think it's just a tad interesting that folks like DT say things like "we'll be taking names at all battles" (meaning, if just one person from a guild attacks, DT intends to retaliate against the entire guild)....yet those in the KA say "Oh well, DT only speaks for DT". Even though I've personally heard others completely agree with DT on that stance.
It's just human nature, Noin. If people see a group of folks that carry one title (such as *member* of the Karavan Alliance), then they are going to assume those that carry that title have the same ideals (or at least generally do). If the KA hasn't bothered to organize itself enough to at least hold *some* kind of "position" in things, then no darn wonder things are so screwy right now. What's the point of being an organization, if everyone in it just does whatever they want to do?
Very well said.

Bah only the extremist Kami and Kara believe that you can't help someone because they are of the opposite faction. I like to think that before the Kami and Kara come into play we are all
homins. When the PvP tag is on or in the GvG zones one shouldn't expect mercy as that is the nature of the game, but that doesnt mean that hating is the answer
For those that want to RP it there is a valid thought that some homins don't believe that violence is the complete answer, that some may be swayed without the need to shed blood. Before the radical ones scream sacriledge, just remember that even in the holy wars, most soldiers are just normal people and feel that violence is a last resort. It is sometimes possible to convert the heathen through peaceful means, and not all homins interpret the teachings of Jena (or Ma-Duk) the same way.
[OOC] Speaking as a combat vet and professional soldier of 21+ years I'll tell you that a very large number of those that put themselves in harms way are not warmongers

Ok, been playing 2 days, but damn you guys are whiiiiiney.
And thats comming from a guy who played UO, SWG, EVE, and WoW. 2 of the best communities ever and 3 of the worst. (SWG was both
)
But seriously you all just need to go to the same city, rent a hotel meeting room and just beat the crap out of each other. This is like israel vs palestine. No one is ever going to like the other side.
But, just my observations from all 11 pages of this thread.
KA you need to shut up a few people and realize that going and beating down everyone with overwhelming numbers after an attack is completely wrong from the standpoint of letting other people have fun. SO what if you get attacked and win in the defense no reason to destroy them over it, but if they win go kick their butts.
Everyone else, isnt the answer obvious? MAKE YOUR OWN ALLAIANCE. Seriously if you cant beat em join em. If you are underpopulated as im thinking then its even more important to organize, plus you can try a little positive PR on the forums.
EDIT:
Forgot to say that this kind of stuff is very very unattractive to new members of the community. Especially those who may not be as hardened to forum flame wars as I am. Personally this whole thing has me leaning towards going Kami, and I dont know any of you... might say something about the KA (might want to change how you guys come off on the forums)

[verry ooc and meta]
On the subject of aliances.
They are mostly a metagaming concept, share a banner because you have the same faith/race/values. There is little else to be a alliance for. Friends you can have everywhere, teammates you can pick up in easy as well. The idea of siding oneself with a big group gives the advantage of power, safety and a name. Loyalty to a alliance becomes a value that if broken has a penalty most are not willing to take so the alliance is a self perpetuating machine that keeps going.
As a independent thinking tryker I want nothing to do with a alliance, it would be a invisible leash.

The KA is
not the karavan.
Kami and karavan are two religous forces that struggle over the controll of the planet. There is a Kami alliance aswell... Better not join a alliance and make your own place on atys, it is much more fun!
edit: If you think this is a flame war, jeez, it is a rather civilized discussion from my pov.

There is ...but its small and we're nothing like the KA ... We dont make threats and so on we just come to defend eachother...if the Kami alliance ever becomes as the KA is(or seems) ill leave it quickly because its aganst my ways...And im sure most of my guild will agree.
