I totally agree with this. My main skill is healing, which means I would not get any honour points during this event.
And personally I think healing victims during this war is much more honourable then killing diggers or crafters.

No, Ms. Mulligan, this is misleading at best. We can not really trust Neverax in this.

As evidenced by the swift censorship of Alysha's latest threads, our opinions are of little merit. Any group that intent on censorship is inherently dishonest and untrustworthy. If only our many questions had been answered as quickly.

We have already given specific responses to problems that we saw coming, there are many on these forums with enough experience to know that when the stove is hot you do not touch it, we do not need to burn ourselves to find out.

Did we argue against the heal nerf? Yes. Despite this it was implemented, and when our predictions came true, it was not reversed.

Did we argue against whatever zone we were in curtailing who we wished to heal or team with? Yes. Was it fixed? No.

Did we ask, even beg, for diplomatic options in this Kami/Karavan conflict? Yes. Have any been provided? No. It is either kill or be killed by one or ther other faction, and those with balanced fame have no roll to play.

Did we ask for sanctions against ganking? Yes. Despite a number of very good solutions served up on a silver platter, far from implementing ANY of them, Neverax decided to reward such foul behavior with so-called "honor" points.

You do NOT listen to the more sensible people at your disposal, any assertion to the contrary is a lie.

The neutral position will be integrated in Episode 2; it won't be specific gameplay, but on a roleplay point of view neutrals will get specific instructions.
Little room for advanced strategies. Game mechanics promote nuking everything that moves from a distant. There are no faction channels to organise bigger groups...
The PvP system has just been revamped; one of the important goals for Episode 2 is to discover new PvP strategies for the new system. Also, we've noticed that a lot of characters still wear old-fashioned jewelry, which gives an advantage to casters...

It will take time to figure out what's the best options in PvP; the first evening, everyone rushes the new land and switch to berserk mode; it should change in the upcoming days and weeks.

And, as Jessica said, we'll be watching to fine-tune the PvP system and the Episode 2 elements to fix issues if necessary. Of course, we won't add major features (Machieltje, mount combats would certainly be cool, but that's a whole new feature you're asking for, not tuning), but if there are things we can do to improve the experience, we'll work on it.

Actually, I think the heal nerf is helping. Its preventing the caster/healer combo from being QUITE so invulnerable as before, though they STILL seem overpowered - at least in PvP.

I am a member of a neutral guild which means I cannot participate in this event in any way really. There is no neutral faction for me to build a monument to; thus no one for me to craft for or for whom to harvest.

However, I am glad that so many of my friends (Kami and Karavan) are enjoying the event. But I would have liked a way to tag myself as neutral. I didn't like that I was forced to have the Karavan symbol in order to enter the area.

If it's not implemented through gameplay, how do we get the same rewards as the PvPers?

So far ganking is the only thing being rewarded heavily. The imbalance between digging points and points gained from murder is contributing to the ganking.

Though I don't think anyone has really tried to challenge the caster/healer combo yet; I was the ONLY melee'er in the battle, on either side, for most of the time I was on yesterday.

This kinda sounds like "Yes, you can be neutral but you will not be rewarded for it. We'll set aside a corner for you to RP with yourselves while everyone else gets on with the story." But I'm sure I'm being too harsh.

There was more than jewelry going on last night. The mission givers told us that our skills were needed regardless of level. The emmissary warned us of that we would be sharing the land with those that opposed us and the land was overrun with Kitin. But we went anyway. To be part of effort to build a temple in honor of our god. The emmissary deceived us. The lore tells us of the vast and fertile land of our ancestors. We found ourselves fighting over a few mat spots on an island smaller than the refugee island I left long ago. The faction guards offered no guidance or protection beyond their camp.

Sure, blame the players! It will change in the upcoming days as people get more and more frustrated by ganking or bored with killing the same folks over and over again. The island is just a smaller version of Nexus with a few purple kitins and mission mats and no spawn point. The new structures are nice to look at but can't venture too close.

Sorry, I don't have cool suggestions... I missed the point. Too many conflicting messages... Fighters killing foragers for sport and "honor points." You call foul and you get "if you didn't want to get killed, you shouldn't have been here." You go back the Emmissary and they tell us we must go there to claim our destiny. Friends made enemy by the tag they fly. So much DP, so little time. I need more sleep before I can think.

Sorry for the ramble.

So roleplay is the only reward the neutrals get?

You can "fine tune" all you like it'll still be a gankathon, this can't be fixed with fine tuning this needs a complete overhaul...

you want to improve my experience? Really? Then get PvP out of my face! In isolated area's that yield no special rewards, fine with me but I don't want to be denied acces to certain content because I don't enjoy PvP which seems to be the direction this game is headed and if so I'm headed for the nearest exit!

You've introduced a system that will need "fine tuning" till the end of days and all that "fine tuning" and "balancing" of this system will take up dev time that could have been spent on something that appeals to the entire population.

This "new and improved" PvP system has managed to break up one of the best (if not the best) communities any MMO has ever seen and no ammount of bandaid is gonna fix that....
