Yay for the living world and everybody who participate! Reading that made me excited again about the direction of the saga. When we designed the Episode 2, we wanted to allow you to shape the outcome of the episode. Your actions will have a lasting effect on the game, which even future players will notice.
Whether you are a warrior, a caster, an harvester or a crafter, you will have a role to play in Episode 2. The two opposed factions (Kami, Karavan) will be involved, and even hominists (Tryton) will be able to influence the outcome
I hope this won't turn out in to a clickfest like with the invasion or a camp mob x for 3 day's competing with 50 others (and your friends) to get ahead with the next step. The Karavan and the Kamis will be rewarding those who help them. When you will accomplish task missions for them, you will be granted honors points, which you will be able to exchange for special rewards at the end of the Episode 2. Four different types of rewards, equipment items specific to each main skill branch (fight, magic, harvest, craft), will be available; additionally, in one of the possible outcomes, there is also an XP reward to be granted.

True new craft items sound good.geezas wrote:The exchange of points for items, why? The economy of atys and the production of goods is something that is for 99% the realm of crafters supported by harvesters. They search for the best mats and the best combinations to create gear for their customers/guilds/friends. Taking that away by exchanging points for gear seems rather simple.
Doh! pure combat players will get the final product from crafter.morzyr wrote:True new craft items sound good.
And for those with no craft skill?
There is plenty pure combat player out there. why should the before allready rich craft/harvesters get this huge reward and combat player none?
Gimmee de mats, an' I'll crafts it fer free (oh, an de plan too )blaah wrote:Doh! pure combat players will get the final product from crafter.
The pure combat player assists his group/guild/friends in completing the missions to get bettter gear. It is a group working for a common goal.morzyr wrote:True new craft items sound good.

Better make it a choice of rewards what balanced for the diffrent classes.
Example: Peter the figter is doing countless missons for a npc/faction or what ever for weeks, slaugtering hoards of mobs and bandits,to get his honer points up to recive what nice prize in the end.geezas wrote:<Example> John crafts weapons, he can make verry good 2h swords and axes, up to ql 250 full speed, max dmg. He has worked long and hard to get the levels, to get his recipies right, people come to him for the best swords and axes.
Now there is a new quest, do some missions for a NPC and get a good weapon without having to see john. John is ***Edited: As outlined in the official forum rules & Netiquette, use of foul language is not permitted on these public message boards.***cause he has just waisted countless hours leveling the skills, getting the right materials to his gear and being replaced by a NPC gear dispencer.

Hehe Some new head gear would be nice!morzyr wrote: I for one would be so ***Edited: As outlined in the official forum rules & Netiquette, use of foul language is not permitted on these public message boards.*** of i don't know what i had done. (well true... a pink helmet would be cool but you get my drift.)
True, I hope it will work like you saymorzyr wrote: But this honor system is not going to be on teams or guilds but on the player.
True in our guild the ones what crafts gives it away freely and we help ech other withmats, but not all guilds are like what.
""QUOTE Four different types of rewards, equipment items specific to each main skill branch (fight, magic, harvest, craft), will be available; additionally, in one of the possible outcomes, there is also an XP reward to be granted.""
And items wear out and it's only given once.
So i would not worry to much they going to hamsters on items on the npc's.
