Actually, that's physically impossible, and I doubt the idea would even appear in a fantasy/fiction game. Those are branches, and all branches have roots. Those roots are on/in the ground, unless they're connected to some kind of orbiting growth. And trees don't grow in space, unless they're in soil, on a space station. There has to be way to get on them, we just haven't found it yet.

you're partly incorrect, there is no ground, the whole of atys is one humongous tree

There is no way to get up there in the game now. If I am wrong prove it to me.

There's one place in the north of Tryker... Dark... something. Darkmoor? I have some great screenshots of Linn crawling up on the lower edges of the canopy there. You can't go very far, but it's a very neat look to get up onto the branches in that dark and dismal swamp. The canopy is part of a later expansion, so for now you can content yourself with playing on the roots.
Tin.

Xeno, I am sure there are forests in Germany, please go to one. Look at the forest floor, see how there is something not quite leaf, and not quite dirt, that is called "leaf mold", excellent organic fertilizer, and If there is a tree...there is dirt...which is decomposed leaf mold. Therefore, there is no ROCK dirt, but there IS leaf mold dirt, HAS to be.
And yes, where there are trees, there are roots. And I doubt HIGHLY that all of the roots are up on the top of cliffs we can't get to.

It is in Darkmoor, actually there are two places you can get up and have a tiny look (one place even have a tiny cave at the end, do I smell a future quest spot?
).
Not sure if it was part of the branches or eroded terrain. Darkmoor, as the name suggest, is a very dark place, and I was exploring there during "dark season".
Further exploring in Tryker (Winds of Muse and <forgot name>) will give a sight of an end branch and one very near to the ground.

I don't think we were supposed to run easyly from "continent" to "continent" just yet.
Note how the regions are laid out, at the center/middle is where the homin, kami and karavan have the most control. Places where it is reasonable safe to travel.
The further away you go the more kitin and goo controls the region, and hence the stronger they become.
Granted some areas are covered in aggroes, and doesn't feel right (at least to me) as what was intended for the place.
It stand to reason than when we get the ability to cotrol outpost etc., that it will become easier to travel in safety.
As a harvester and crafter, I can spend days just looking around and sneaking to places, just because I haven't seen or been there.
Many an hour I have entertained my guild while exploring
My maps are litterary covered with map mark *1.
To sum it up a bit; I go exploring, not because it is easy, but because it hard.
*1 pleeeeease add multi colour map marks, and the posibility to use spaces or larger text area to them.

Add a "yet" to the end of that. If I recall correctly an extension to the game was said to give access to them.

Part of the elusive content some, me included, hopes to see soon.
On the other hand, when nothing is explained (got to looooove the ability to use the small gray cells
), you can ponder over things yourself.
Let you imagination run wild (drug free please
)
Remember this is a RPG

I've thought and imagined for 3 months. I need more.
