Thought it would be good to mention this. With the most current patch 36, you now create 40 rifle or pistol shots per combine of 4 mats. A nice 66.6...% increase in yield over the previous 24.

I'm sorry... you were saying something?...

Have you ever used the aim for X on Y stanzas before?... I'll give you a tip since it doesnt seem that you have. Aside from making that pretty little you hit X in the head, you hit X in the legs, you hit Y in the blah... they only do something when you get a critical and you do damage with that critical.

What's that? how could you do no damage and still get a critical hit? Use ranged fight and you will find out... it's pretty sad actually. At least try the things you spew out onto the forum before you actually spew them out. That completely ignores the fact that you are trying to suggest a nice fat 175-200+ credit attack for rifles doing ~200 dmg at around 100 once you slap accuracy, a high enough aim for x on Y, and increased speed on the same attack.

and lets not forget the fact that the increased speed bricks were removed in beta when melee was sped up, but they forgot to speed up ranged... so now ranged gets to pay for it with stamina/hp... They even get to use the same increased attack speed brick that was too expensive for melee fighters during beta.

The burdens are still the same, meaning that ranged fighters still do not have really meaningful damage, and still do not have the ability to last for an entire group hunting session. Really all this does is give ranged fighters the same staying power they had prior to the speedup brick being put back in. Why it is so difficult for nevrax to understand that (bow)pistol/rifle ammo is too heavy, and auto/launcher ammo is simply pathetic, is beyond me.

With the combination of more ammo per combine and the increased rate of fire, it does allow for increased damage over time and not having to spend as much time digging up the mats overall.

Unfortunately, like you said, pistol/rifle ammo is too heavy. With MA, jewelry, rifle and about 70 stacks of ammo, I'm at 220 bulk. I try carrying any more ammo, and my speed facter starts to drop, as do my success rates for any given action. Technically I'd have enough bulk to carry another 800 rounds, but then my speed factor would be down around 1% and I couldn't hit a suckling yubo for any damage.

Sure I could carry the mats for 100 stacks of bullets, since mats have 0 weight, while a stack of bullets weighs 6.4 with my current combination (that alone doesn't make sense). But having to stop and craft bullets is rather unneccessary and shouldn't have to be done on a regular basis while hunting. Especially considering the degrade rate on crafting bullets is very crappy.

Please, Nevrax, check your math skills on this. 4 mats, which have a total bulk of 2, and weigh 0, are used to create 40 bullets, which have a bulk of 4, and weigh a grand total of 10kg+. On a physics level this is impossible, and on a plain common sense level it's about bassackwards as you can get.

Nevrax is making improvements on ranged. As solo with a high forage in comparison to my ranged fight skill, it is a viable persuit. In a group situation where taking a time out to spend crafting bullets just to stay functioning, it is not. The above applies to pistol(which is even worse in group due to a higher consumption of ammo) and rifle.

Autolauncher/Launcher are only good for a cheap thrill in taking out a herd of critters you won't get reasonable xp from.
