You can store as much in the apartment as you can on a packer except you cant move it, cant take it with you, cant craft from it and it costs ten times as much as a packer.
And ofcourse the only person you can show it off to is yourself and who ever is standing behind you watching your monitor.

Also, be sure you buy your apartment in the location you will want it in long term. I bought one, am considering relocating, but have been told that as yet you cannot in any way unlink from your apartment. You can't even destroy it & write off the 1000000 dappers. Apparantly, one day it will be possible to do that but no eta for when such a change will be made. I guess it won't be high priority so I won't hold my breath waiting.
(I'm not *****ing about it, just want to try & make sure others don't fall into the same trap.)

You can store as much in the apartment as you can on a packer. Except it doesn't move around and get killed, doesn't come with you and get killed, doesn't get killed while you're crafting from it and doesn't cost as much as the many packers you'll need to buy because they get killed.

i have 2 lvl 200 packers now which dont die easily im afraid m8
they are as strong as a lvl 200 yubo
i definatly agree tho apartments are no more than a glorified un movable packer with no crafting access

hmm, I think it would be silly to be able to stand in Yrkanis and craft with mats from your pad in FairHaven. They'd have to have a whole new skill tree for materializing objects in thin air. Or i guess overnight postal.

but its ok to be able to craft at any stable in the world? lol people like one aspect but dissagree with the aspect that costs them 1mill for in essence a fourth packer albeit a lazy packer and vry expenive one

I find flats to be very useful. Mine is stuated just across from GH and collected mats are deposited in GH, pick up from there and taken to flat to store or craft. One problem we were having was that the GH store was constantly full with mats & there was nowhere to keep an arsenal of weps & armour. Now when the flat is full with 1000 mats it makes a useful craft session & frees up space in the GH. We encourage all our crafters to have & use a flat in this way.

Except for the fact the packer bug is still in full effect in apartments, where you will often find yourself needing to add an item to your own backpack so as to access your mats...except for the fact that you can't access materials in your apartment for crafting except by putting them in your own pack, which means if you get the bug you are forced to run out to find something...and it seems to take place in the apartments a lot more than the packers.
Oh, and this bug has been around for a while and reported quite notably for a while too. Guess its more important to nerf another skill tree than to make the game playable.

They only get killed if you bring them to danger. Which inclines moving them. Something you cant actualy do with an apartment. If you dont move the packer it cant be killed and then its in the same situation as an apartment except the one teleport you can do to safely move the packer from one city to another and then ofcourse all the other things you can do with a packer that you cant with an apartment.
Giving the apartment points for not being killable is like if there was one packer that could move that cost 100k and one that could not move and cost 1 mill and saying the one that couldnt move was better just because it laked the ability to be moved by you into danger.
