Now this is really a catch-22 if it's correct, because the players who are at level 50 prime root cannot get any experience harvesting in prime root, and thus cannot ever get to a higher level (unless they go partied with a very high level harvester and do care stanzas or something like that).

Again this needs clarification to see if it's correct, and if it's something that was intended.

They could if they became an expert (maxed out) in one of the other areas first.

I agree with raynes on this one, the Prime Roots mats should be something you work your way up to. I only have 52 Prime Roots now so It will be that much more rewarding when I'm able to harvest in the Roots.

More misinformation: Hint for you Raynes. PR mats are no different than the mats found in the above ground zones in the game with the exception of color, and lack of basic/fine quality.

raynes wrote:I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why exactly they need to be harvesting in the Prime Roots anyway?

How about to gain experience in Prime Roots foraging? I missed the memo that said not to work this tree til you maxed everything else in the game.

raynes wrote:I'm also wondering what is your harvesting level in the area of your homeland? For example if you are a Zorai what is your harvesting level in Jungle foraging? Is it 200 or 250? Or did you just drop that and head right inte getting the best mats in the game?

Forest Harvest: 182
Prime Roots Harvest: 144

Any other questions? And how is it you think people will gain PR harvesting levels when they meet your personal requirements for entering the zone?

because it is the best if not only place for supreme materials. if we have to wait till we are level 250 in other areas then what the hell is the point.

are you saying we should have to wait till max level to get materials to make armor and weapons that would help us level?

foragers and crafters support the fighters and magicians. if they have to achieve max level to level another branch to get the best materials and make the beast stuff its going to be a year of crap before we see anything good.

At q160, what is your PR?
Just curious, I am trying to understand what has occured.

If you hit the q150 PR spots, and since you can't use a specialization of Prime Roots during forage or harvest (or can you?), what is the percent it shows success?

Based on your highest skills of your primary harvest and forage ability, what is your percent to success on harvest?

For instance, my highes at q100 is like 95% mainland and something like %60???? (can't check it right now) Prime root.

So technically, not using a prime root specialization (that I do NOT Have at the moment) it would allow me to harvest q100 prime root at the lowest success rate, or so I would think..

Someone help me out here.

Is leveling the only reason you play the game?

Besides, just because you max out in something doesn’t mean you can’t then use what you gain at that maxed-out state to help level other areas.

I’m pretty much neutral to this whole issue since I’m no forager, but I do think that the best armor is something that should be hard to get until you are maxed out in at least one skill tree or close to it.

More misinformation. Your level in any tree other than prime roots harvest has no affect on prime roots extracts. If you have 250 in all harvest trees except prime roots and 51 in PR, and you use the apropriate extraction brick (60), you will get the new error message. If you attempt to use a 150 extraction brick with a 51 skill, it will just spam you with fail messages.

Has this effected the above ground mats also?

Sounds like a catch-22 to me as well.

No, only roots
