Was just thinking... perhaps the issue is related with todays patch?

Try running the Recovery program in the Ryzom directory.
Let me know if it goes thru the patch process again afterwards when you launch the game.

I tried running the recovery program and it gave me an error saying that it couldn't unpack a file. I am reinstalling ryzom now. We'll see if that works.

I hope that works for ya. But I dont know, because I just did a fresh install with everything updated. Because I upgraded my whole system. So everything should be ideal for this game running correctly.

I just tried that and the same thing is happening. I took a couple screencaps to help clarify things.
Here is the first time it bombs out after finishing the initial patch.

These are what happens the second time I launch the game. It seems to go the same way whether I run ryzom_recover or not.

I've also tried doing a fresh install, but it hasn't made any difference.

dosen't work for me, it appears that my exedll.bnp file is corrupted. every time the sucker launches it tries to rebuild the files from that file. and crashes every time it tries to relaunch. can someone with 21mb of space host a good copy of that file and let me try it?
