Tetra did you read Xcomvic's post? he said 'does it really matter who you target?'. I thought it was obvious he was talking about other players. This thread is also about organization outside of your group, so I assume he's takling about a point and click heal on people ungrouped.

It might not have been clear but my post was hardly stupid. Not reading posts and putting them together, and the excessive use of the word n00b is. You should change your login to n00b obsessed n00bian lunacy.
I'm not the one who wrote...
Vhaldir's officers may see his group and eachother's but not my group's health bars.

Group members only see their own group health bars.
I have serious doubts about how you could spin your original post into anything other than the "no no information is bad" thing that is is.

Serious, how smart do you have o be to figure out if you don't like certain people in groups you kick them out? someone doesn't listen and keeps dying? who says you have to rez them? seriously.
Except we don't have a single group, we have N groups of 9. Under the mindboggling system you proposed, we would still have N groups of 9 and N folks who could see the other groups if they wanted to. Oh yea... those folks also need to now relay what is going on to the folks in their group who are out of the loop... person 1 must type it, then person 2 must both decide to relay it and type it out again before the rest of the group sees it...
As for your response to Zzeii Tetra, why agree with someone then go off and argue IN THE SAME PARAGRAPH when it's clear that it's your own decision that counts?

If you are having trouble finding people to group with online that you can agree with, power levelers or not, you must be a real jerk. Either that, or since your post is so off the wall, while you call me names, you are one of the very n00bs you hate so much. Be nice and do things right and find some friends. That's just a guess and a helpful suggestion if it's right though. I'll still rez u if I see you down.
 attacking the poster rather than the argument the poster made is pretty pathetic you know. The trip yesterday was set to start at noon... it left at about 12:45... zzeii spent a good 20-30 minutes /shouting for folks who were not in a team to speak up... folks who were there the entire time did speak up.

I also must have missed the point where saying that folks don't like to spend all of their time not getting exp and wearing down their equipment while escorting lowbies and newbies they don't even know around, somehow translates into screw everyone else I don't help anyone ever if there is nothign in it for me.

While it's fun to play the bash Tetra for not posting that he's the nicest person on the planet and spends all of his in game time helping newbies he has never met, and I'm sure that there are going to be a whole gob of folks coming out of the woodwork to post how they love doing just that... I can say with strong certainty that the majority of the player base does not enjoy spending all of their time doing that.

Tetra, I'm sorry if my post wasn't clear. Yes most people care about xp, no doubt about that. My point was that not everyone does. And it doesn't matter what game you are talking about, not everyone will be interested in the xp. I was not having any deeper of a comment than that.

The trip on saturday, if people had problems with not getting xp, that is their own issue, and not my concern on trips. If you want xp, you can go xp. You want to make a trip, then enjoy the ride. I heard no one complain in tells about not getting xp. /shrug. They kept it in group or guild evidently, where they should have. Most people will complain about something, no matter what else is going on.

With the fact that people do afk, some people are not quick to see a message, and some people arrived late and we already had full groups already and had to set up a new group (since not everyone reads the boards/is allowed to log in immediately/etc), you have to expect for an open trip to not leave on time. I'd rather make sure that everyone has a group, and communicate with the group leaders to ensure this. Most the time I shouted that, I already knew who needed a group or was on the way, and which group those people were going to. Unfortunately, you didn't see what I was seeing, so you wouldn't have known all of that. So please do not use this to illustrate a point, it is a poor example.

Mainly because...

I don't care about getting xp on the trips... It's about making the trip that matters to me, not getting xp on the trip. I know alot of people care about the xp. But not everyone. http://www2.hawaii.edu/~dokihara/meetingagain-en.swf cheesy little ffxi clip, but it's a good example of what some people play for.
Thank you.

For the sake of communication I would say that if you could find a voice over internet FREE program or one that is available for a very VERY low cost, these have worked VERY well, once you iron out the recognition of voices you can communicate at the speed of sound for the most part.

BUT without the ability to ONE button target everyone in a raid...healers will need to out number the melee, and will need to be able to see and click on the players names. Which is to say that melee will VERY likely die alot.

The MAIN convience of the raid engine is one of communication, since region will be confusing and possible snatch needed communication before you can read it in busy regions.

The other convience of raid engines is that they normally have a control over who can loot and who can't. It is ALOT easier to open the looting of some corpses to others than to loot the stuff and then trade it to whomever you need to have the items. As it stands...ONLY the group that gets credit for the kill can loot it, and ONLY if there is at least ONE of them still alive when the loot is there. SO, if a group gets the kill and lag has ONE more hit from the mob floating out in limbo (I have seen this happen FYI) and the ONLY player left standing is ONE hit from death...the loot will possibly rot before they can run back and loot it. Eventually...this will matter.

Thanks for clearing that up Xcom, my post was based on players, sorry for the confusion. I've considered team speak. Does it cost much bandwith? My ping is around 150-230 max with just the game running, a little higher when I stream real player. If I try to stream high quality windows media the game gets really laggy.

Tetra...who started bashing who and calling their ideas stupid? I'm done with you mr. hypocrite.

Correct... I called your post and ideas about more information being bad stupid. You on the other hand, attacked me and ignored my post. Like I said, attacking the poster rather than the post/ideas given is a pathetic tactic in any sort of discussion. If you can't see the difference between the two, them I'm sure you won't suddenly be able to see how your post about more information being bad is anything but stupid.
