While on one level I'm really amused by this - what a dumb newbie mistake not to buy tickets back before you go, and reportedly it ain't just newbies that did this! - on another I'm really, really disturbed by the CSR response to this, which has been to tell players to group up and stop bothering them. (For reference, I'm not stuck.)

I understand that it would take ridiculous effort to reload the event with a special karavan transport back to Matis et al - but the other option is to have the GMs themselves pull people back to their homelands one by one. I don't suggest for a minute this should be free or easy; charge those who got stuck 250k or 500k for a 'special' transport. Its not as if the server population is large enough so that the logistics of this would be problematic.

If you're not a relative newbie who did this, well, tough. If you are, though, I don't think I understood the transport system and how to buy tickets well into my first month into the game either. And for the delete option, wasting a couple of weeks on a character isn't the end of the world...but its really disheartening at a time we should be doing everything we can to get the population base back up after the patch 1 disaster.

That is, if the GMs are actually interested in helping.

So ....

Those who want to go back home ... you will have to take the trip through LofL.

If the GMs port you - you will have gained the advantage of having Tryker tickets for ZERO effort!

You have the advantage that no Tryker has - you don't have to go through the MAZE!!!

A lvl 1 character can get through LofL .... they can't get through the MAZE!

So We have offered you some help.

You can either take our help (we can get some free DP as a reward) or you can complain that its so unfair that you got a free port to another land and sit sucking you thumbs.

I am sure the GMs would port you in a second if it was down to them ... they are that kinda people. However they have guidelines which prevent them porting anyone, unless they are 'stuck' in the landscape. What you are asking for is for them to give you an advantage over everyone player in the game.

I wish I could send a tell to a GM and say can you rez me ... I didn't know that that mob was tougher than me

So take our help or not its up to you.

Point made, but anyone who participated in the event had the opportunity to get Tryker tickets without the effort of max DP fun.

Just be patient, im sure eventually the GM's will port her back to matis. Dont go racking up Dp

Hmm Borg9 you offer your help in just such a way that I think I'll decline your kind offer and go about getting home another way.

Was there not a Karavan teleporting people back during the event at the weekend? I'm Fyros and took the free trip to Zorai for the event, but did not have a return ticket to Pyr. However, in Zora there was a Kami to teleport us back to Pyr. At the end of the event there was a system message saying that the free teleport would be available for another 15 minutes, allowing people to get back.

While I sympathise with people that are stuck (some of my guildmates are), there was a method of returning available and warning was given before they removed it. You can't lay the blame at the door of the devs simply because people didn't take the opportunity to return.

I hope you find your way home, but I don't think free teleports are the answer. This kind of situation is an opportunity for adventure. Get together with people in the same situation as you, or Trykers who want to travel to Matis. It's hardly a game killer, you can do the same things whichever land you're in. And it's hardly permanent - there will probably be an event along soon which will send the Tryker to Matis and you get a free trip back then.

I started by offering the help in a very polite way.

It was thrown back at me.

I lashed out.

Ask anyone who knows me that I am dedicated to helping people in this game.

However, it appears that only others are allowed to get a little frustrated
